- Rio Celeste - Walk through the Tenorio Volcano National Park Upon reaching the entrance, you will begin a moderately difficult walk through the park. Along the trail you will walk through the rainforest and along the Celeste River, where you can observe one of nature’s most intriguing phenomena. After this beautiful place, you will continue walking to where two streams merge, turning the clear water into a divine turquoise tone that gives rise to the Río Celeste. This chemical reaction, due to volcanic minerals, constitutes an amazing spectacle that can only be experienced in this unique place. After hiking, you will head to another part of the river, outside the park, where you can bathe in its blue waters. This is where sloths and other wildlife are often seen.
