- The lesson is 1.5-2h long, depending on how many people we send per instructor.

Tamarindo is one of the best surf spots when it comes to learning how to surf. With clean, gentle waves you’re gonna have a blast while also feeling safe. Only thing you need to bring is your swimsuit, sun screen and a positive attitude! Let’s catch some good waves together.

We meet at the back of the cafe Pico Bistro in Tamarindo, next to the lifeguard tower. If you for whatever reason have trouble finding us, you can ask for La Muda Surf, Carlos Brown, Isabella Carrera and Jeison Brown.

Great, Easy & Amazing - I had an amazing time with surf lessons in Tamarindo! The instructors were skilled and patient, providing clear instructions and lots of encouragement. The waves were perfect for all skill levels, making the experience both fun and rewarding. The environment was friendly and supportive, which made learning to surf enjoyable. Highly recommend these lessons for anyone looking to catch some waves and have a great time in Tamarindo!

Great entry level lessons! - Great entry level lesson. Jose was very good going to though safety training and explaining all the steps for a first timer. I found it not to be that challenging since I snowboard so was able to get on the board fairly quick. If you haven’t done any board sport this might be a bit difficult but not impossible. Overall fun experience, your body will end sore post session. If you have a slight interest and are on the fence as daunting as it might seem just book it, it’s a fun sport.

Awesome! - We accidentally got there an hour early and the instructors were able to work us in. They were outstanding and everyone in our group was able to get up after a couple of tries. Very professional and great experience! Isabella reached out to us a couple of days before and even gave us some recommendations for other things to do while we were there. Definitely worth the money!

Wonderful lessons and fun surfing - My son (20) and daughter (25) just did the lesson. My son was able to stand up right away and it took my daughter a couple more tries to stand up. They did a great job teaching my kids and safeguard them. My kids had a great time!

The Best Surf School Ever - I stood up on my first wave! Jose was amazing! His advice was clear, exact and thorough. I caught 8-10 waves. This was a surf experience. I had tried to surf, unsuccessfully, once before Jose taught me how to read waves, how to time paddling in, when to stand up. It was perfect. This far exceeded my expectations. It was so fun.

These folks KNOW how to teach surfing!!! - The instructors were super kind and patient, as well as fun people!
It made doing something new kkke surfing a blast! They also had great recs for us outside of surfing, like what food to eat etc.

Everything they promise… plus - This experience is everything they promised and more. Wonderful communications with team members (Isabella) days in advance. Instructions were thorough and well communicated. And when it came time to get in the water they utilized extra instructors to ensure the best possible experience for everyone. The instructors kept us safe in the water, choosing waves that fit our individual ability and shielded us from the biggest, potentially risky waves. The true test of it all… this nearly 56 yo female was on the board all the way in on just the second attempt!!!! And they even took photos (at a modest fee) for us. Pura vida!
