Things to do in Tampa - Park in the parking deck across the street for $20. There's plenty of parking and it's convenient, otherwise it might be a hassle to find parking. This is a great way to beat the heat in Tampa. There is even a water park/splash area onsite to visit after your tour. Besides fish, the outdoor area houses alligators, otters, birds and more. I spent about 2-3 hours.

Family Day Out - We visited years ago and wanted to go back with our grown children. The aquarium is so well put together and the staff is very knowledgeable. We always go to the local aquariums when we are on vacation and this one is awesome. That is coming from someone that lives in Chicago! Good rainy day place to go and it rains a lot in FL.

An experience for the whole family - Many local animals are brought closer to you here. You can also touch rays, starfish and sea anemones under supervision. In some places there are employees who can give you even more information and are happy to answer questions. We visited the aquarium with the Riverwalk Pass. So it is cheaper if you are in Tampa for 1 day and still want to visit several things.

Worth the trip - Some amazing creatures abide there. Many species to see and as you take an educational journey through the aquarium. The bird show stood out to me.

Great day out! - This was a great day out! Exhibits were really good and formed a good route around the Aquarium. The Bird show was really good and informative and also funny, well done 'The Bird Man'! We have 2 teenage daughters so the splash pad outside was not for us but lots of small children were having fun, which I thought was also a good idea in the heat. There seemed to be plenty of staff around which was good and they were very welcoming. We only had fruit snacks from the canteen and the fruit bowl had some mouldy fruit in it so I returned it for a refund which was given but no 'sorry about that' which you would expect. We parked across the road for $15 for the day which I thought was really reasonable but not sure how much it would have been to park on site, but where we parked was literally across the road. I would definitely recommend, however be sure to book in advance.....we tried to book through TripAdvisor on the day and no tickets left, so I booked direct on the Aquarium website and it was about $30 more than TripAdvisor......Great day out so would definitely recommend!

Meh. Underwhelming compared to other aquariums. - This was underwhelming compared to other aquariums. Denver aquarium is twice as big and half as much. Cost $275 for 4 adults, 1 child, and 1 senior. Took about 1.5 hours, taking it slow but didn’t do any upsell experiences. Facility itself is very nice. Parking was $7 in a parking garage across the street, about a 5 minute walk.

It was just OK - The best part of the visit was the wetlands exhibit, but other than that, definitely not a place I'd look to revisit. Nothing terribly exciting - maybe it's because I've been to the Georgia Aquarium, and once you've visited that venue, it's tough to beat it.
