Whirlwind Tour of Tangier: A Perfect Family Adventure - Our recent layover in Tangier turned into a fantastic family adventure thanks to our friendly and energetic guide and driver! In just 4 short hours, we managed to pack in a camel ride (complete with endless photo opportunities!), a visit to Cap Spartel, a trip through the bustling medina, and even some shopping at unique Moroccan shops. With four adults and two young kids in tow, keeping everyone entertained can be a challenge. Our guides made it a breeze, their positive energy was contagious and they were fantastic with the kids. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time in Tangier and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this experience to anyone with a limited amount of time, especially families!

Our tour included many... - Our tour included many stops and the guide and driver were both very nice and kind. It was very difficult to find the guide/driver when we arrived in Tangier, but eventually we did locate each other and the rest of the day was very enjoyable, and tailored to our needs.

Great Tangier tour - Anouer was a great guide! Our highlights were Cap Spartel and Hercules Cave! We also loved the camel ride by the beach and walking through the Kasbah. He took us to a delicious restaurant for lunch. Would highly recommend.

Pick-up included - Mohamde was a great guide. Even though I was traveling alone, I still had a driver. All entrance fees were included in the tour. Shopping was up to your personal preference, and the guide didn't bother you. Overall recommended!

Amazing day in Tanger - The guide and the driver were really friendly and full of positive energy. We had only 4 hours but it was enough to have a camel ride, lots of pictures, visit Cap Spartel, medina, and even experience the unique Moroccan shops there. We can fully recommend (4 adults and 2 young kids).

Good but not great - The guides had good enough English and were very informative. We were wary of being ripped off and dodged the carpet seller but had a sit down lecture from the "pharmacist" wearing a white coat about Argan oil and related products. We politely declined to buy and purchased some in town from a beauty shop much cheaper 100% cold pressed oil in a beautiful bottle ideal for gifts. However the biggest disappointment and concern was Hercules cave as we were taken to the commercial rip off cave by our guide and not the one we all see on Google - so please ask to be taken to the correct one we came away confused and looked it up later. Both guides kept asking if we were happy and we basically were. Learn from our experience and make sure you get to see what you came for. The camel ride was definitely a highlight.

Very disappointed - Very disappointed with this tour. 30 minutes late starting due to driver. Seven hours approximately was the time given. We completed the tour in less than 3 hours. We were rushed everywhere we went and not given much history or information about what we were seeing. Many of the places and experiences advertised were missed and not even a mention of them. Vehicle was clean and comfortable, only plus side of the day.

Beware! - So this was sadly a pretty bad experience for me and my husband. I want to warn everyone that if my WiFi worked at the time when the guide was watching over me and TELLING me what to write, pressuring me for a good review at the end of this, it would have been a much different review which I would have immediately just changed to warn people anyways as soon as he wasn’t watching me, but here since that didn’t happen you get to see our honest opinion. The weather was terrible, which wasn’t his fault. The camel ride which was the main reason for me to choose this tour didn’t happen- also maybe not his fault, but since that was supposed to be included in the price it should be discounted, or something should have been done in its place. We started off the tour driving around for long distances around the expensive neighborhoods and palace.. not much on backstories or history. We did drive past Pablo Escobar’s house, and went past a famous reporter’s house who was very important for the betterment of the Moroccan people but everything we learned was superficial. Didn’t do Achakar, or camel ride. Caves of Hercules was nice but he wasn’t able to explain the history or timelines or any real significance .. I was able to get more from his rug salesman than from him about any history/mythology. Didn’t do Musee de la Kasbah. That was supposed to be included. The Medina “walking tour” .. was not a thing. My husband said it was the guy’s mostly non-English speaking friend who walked us from our hotel to the parking lot to meet the taxi. I was not amused ( well actually, that was amusing haha). I know it was raining, but at least give us the option or come prepared with an umbrella like all the other tour guides. Cafe hafa was very pretty with a nice view. Parc Perdicaris was beautiful. Him and his driver drove us all over the city, but most of the ride was very uneventful and filled with him being on his phone texting people, and talking to the driver. We got to a carpet store, guided by a very nice gentleman who was a Berber and he was pleasant enough to talk to, but then we spent probably over an hour there being highly pressured to buy some very expensive rugs which were completely out of our price range. We kept saying that, and he tried talking us into buying 2. Then 1 and a towel/blanket. That didn’t work so what about 1 blanket and a towel thrown in? We left there pretty unhappy with a $180 purchase which we didn’t expect to have and a ton of buyers remorse. I’ve gone into these rug stores before and never felt so pressured.. you say no, you can’t afford and they show you more.. ask what you can afford, and then if it doesn’t work then they say well maybe you’ll change your mind you have time. Here it feels like it’s another level of pressure. Did I mention that after the deal was done and we were put back into the car with our purchase he and the tour guide split some of the money we gave them? The tour guide apparently gets a commission when the salesperson does manage to sell something, so that’s a big reason why this type of high pressure sales is tolerated as part of the “tour experience”. We went to some place to eat afterwards which I thought was part of the tour since they kind of made it sound like it was and I’m pretty sure that we were ripped off on the meal.. 380 dh .. probably the most we’ve spent and the food was just ok. We didn’t see the bill since the guide held onto the check and just told us how much it was, so we have a feeling that we paid for him and his driver. The conversation at the table was forced and mainly came due to my effort, and in all honesty unless you know you are a good host who has things to say and not constantly on your phone then don’t make someone dine with you and your non-English speaking driver on their dime since it made an already bad experience even worse. This was the time he was trying to force-feed me what to write as a review. Also in very bad taste. And made it a point that me and my husband should be tipping him and his driver now. Haha. We did tip.. my husband was way too generous, but it wasn’t a reflection on how well the trip went but out of politeness. Definitely not recommended. Recommendation is to pick someone with not just good reviews but a LOT of good reviews. This experience scared us to the point where I cancelled a bunch of other tours and was scared that the ones I wasn’t able to cancel would be like this too. They luckily were not.. we have been on several now and all of them were very positive experiences but you have to look for quantity here. Lots of 5-stars that could have been forced like I almost was.
