Highlights
  • Isola Bella - ISOLA BELLA

Fun time in water - Loved it! Shows Taormina coastline and some water play. The guide was great and moved our experience a little earlier as winds were picking up in the evening. We had a good time and enjoyed it.

Very nice sunset cruise - Great host, great boat. Small group of 10 people. Great views of Taormina from the water, beautiful. Snacks were limited to chips and crackers, but the wine / Prosecco were very good.

Fun But... - The excursion was fun. The food and beverages were fine. I felt like the driver of the boat was doing everything while his "assistant/girlfriend" lounged on the front of the boat while he worked his butt off. The excursion was good but not sure of what the point of the girl being there was.

Poor experience on this tour. - Unfortunately our experience was not a good one. Our guide was not friendly, he did the bare minimum on the tour. The food he served was stale and soggy. He did not help the ladies or men on or off the boat, which was on the shore, where people who were not wanting to get wet , had to in order to get on and off the boat. Will not do that excursion again.

Party boat, not relaxing sunset cruise - Ended up being more of a party boat than a relaxing sunset cruise. Double the number of people that the description said. Loud music probably kept away any possible dolphin sightings. But other than that a nice boat ride with drinks and snacks.

High adrenaline boat trip! - The weather was bad - windy with huge swell but the company went ahead with the trip anyway. It was more of a high adrenaline adventure with people falling off their seats and being thrown around the boat rather than a peaceful sunset cruise. We had no safety briefing or warning and there was very little instruction or commentary from our boat driver. It probably would have been nice on a fine day. .

Don’t book this - It was pretty sketchy - there is supposed to be a limit of 10 people but there were 14 and when our boat driver saw the ocean police come by us, (Guardia Della Finanza) he almost capsized the boat in his hurry to get away. He would have been fined if they stopped us. No safety talk at all. Two passengers threw up after he took off so quickly to avoid the police. The aperitivo was a tiny plastic cup and stale chips and peanuts. Nothing refined here! The ocean is amazing and crystal clear and he showed up some high points very brusquely. I got the feeling he just wants to be out on the water for himself and makes some money while he is swimming and boating for his own enjoyment. Why does Viator allow this? Definitely not as billed in the description.

Do not book.this tour..go to the marina - Would not recommend for so many reasons. There was no order, it was just a boat that came to beach and you were expecting to A. Know where to board and B. Climb on the boat from the beach no marina involved. I lost my $100 and rebooked with a legitimate marina in Naxos for $80. Saved my sanity. And it was a wonderful experience.
