Highlights
- Taormina - At 10:00 am appointment with chef at Porta Messina. The tour will begin at the Taormina market with the explanation of the displayed products and how they can be handled. After the explanation, we buy the ingredients that we need for the lesson. After reaching the restaurant, the participants will find an already prepared table with all the tools on and they will be equipped with an apron. We will start making home-made pasta with a very traditional method. After the fresh pasta we proceed to make “home-made Caponata” with the vegetables that we bought at the market. During the lesson we will prepare many other dishes of the Sicilian culinary tradition such as fresh sardines, zucchini flowers and more… Once finished the course, all participants will sit at a table for tasting the prepared dishes and different Sicilian wines and liquors. Mineral water and coffee included, of course! To all guests will be released a nice recipe in English and a certificate of participation from the Chef.

Additional Information
The journey begins from Porta Messina at 10:00 pm with our resident Chef. We’ll tour the Taormina Market and select traditional Sicilian foods. After arrival at the restaurant, you’ll get hands-on experience in making home-made pasta and a variety of other traditional Sicilian dishes. Once the workshop concludes, everyone will gather around a table to enjoy the prepared dishes accompanied by a classic Sicilian wine.

Mangiare - Visiting the market and then learning some great Sicilian recipes was fantastic. What made it even better was our chef was entertaining and knowledgeable. Preparing the food and then enjoying the feast was an incredible experience. I highly recommend this Sicilian cooking class.

Great Sicilian cooking class - Really good experience, market tour and then back to cooking. Plenty of dishes to make, eggplant parm, fish steamed in salt covering, 4 different types of pasta and swordfish rollatini. Everything was tasty and the chef’s were great, interacting and hands on. My biggest gripe would be that it was just a little too many people. I would have preferred to pay a little more, since it was a little tight working together.

Food, wine, laughter and fun - If you are even considering…look no further! 100% the best tour! This cooking class had it all! Food, wine, laughter, and fun! It does not disappoint! Everything about this experience was a positive! I laughed so much! The best memories!!!!!

Great food, great fun! - We had a lot of fun. We might some really nice people, enjoyed great food, and learned some new recipes. The chef Giovanni was really informative and funny. The other chef Mauricio gave us helpful tips and was really nice. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience!!

Excellent cooking class - Very enjoyable class. Chief was knowledgeable, happy to teach our class how to make pasta, eggplant Parmesan and cook fish covered in salt. I attended alone but everyone made me feel welcome. Can’t wait to return home to cook a meal!

Amazing cooking class! - The chef was amazing and made the class a lot of fun. It was great to experience making and tasting authentic Sicilian dishes and wine! We met people from different parts of the world and didn’t want our cooking class/lunch to end.

If you love to cook and eat, this is for you! - The market was quick but fun and then we got to cooking! We made loads of delicious food,, drank wine (white and red) and learned how to make local fresh food and pasta!
