Additional Information

Embark on a journey to Kakheti with our tour, a region in Georgia known for its stunning landscapes and excellent wines. The majority of Georgia’s wine grapes, nearly 75%, are cultivated in this region. Evidences suggest that Kakheti has a rich wine-making history dating back thousands of years. Each village in Kakheti boasts its unique wine variants like Kindzmarauli, Akhasheni, Teliani, and Mukuzani that are named after their respective places of production.

The journey to Kakheti encompasses multiple tourist attractions including the Monastery of St. Nino in Bodbe and the Sighnaghi – the City of Love. A noteworthy part of the excursion is tasting the traditional Georgian bread ‘Shoti’, traditionally cooked in a deep clay oven called ‘tone’. If you join us during the harvest period, you can look forward to a visit to one of Kakheti’s largest wine factories, where you get to taste and purchase their exquisite wines.

Wonderful trip, good tastes and Giorgi was great - I took the trip with Giorgi, first of all Giorgi was charming, kind, and pleasant, he was open to questions and at the beginning of the trip he asked everyone where are they from and if we have any questions. In addition, it was nice that at each stop there was time to receive his guidance and also to move around freely. We tasted the bread and also saw how it is prepared, we tasted two types of cheese and then the visit to the winery was wonderful, the staff there spent time tasting different types of wine, for explanations, it was obvious that they were making an effort for us to have a good experience. Want to thank Georgi for this fun trip, for the wonderful landscapes :) Thank you!

It is impossible not to fall in love with Kakheti! - The Vacation Package went twice, in 2024 and five years ago, in 2019. The first trip created a love for the beautiful region of Georgia and for the wonderful Georgian wines, so they returned here again. During the tour, we watched traditional bread being baked and tasted traditional cheese, visited the Bodbe Monastery, where one of Georgia’s most revered saints lies, drowned in green and flowers, walked the streets of the beautiful “city of love” Signakhi and looked out from the city walls at the very beautiful and spacious Alazan valley and the Caucasus mountains. And of course we tasted wine! At Vineria Kakheti, our guide to the wine world and beyond - George (moustache😁) - gave an excellent presentation-tasting with a story about every wine. Very interesting and mmm 🍷) After the tasting, they had lunch there - delicious food after a long road, a little respite - and we return to Tbilisi. Special thanks to guide Anna and driver David for the comfortable ride and tour!
