Highlights

The private tour starts with a pick up at 9 am from your hotel or apartment.

Around 9:30 you will reach Mtskheta, the old capital of Georgia. Mtskheta used to be an important trade and cultural city during the pagan times and it was also the first place in Georgia to officially accept Christianity as a state religion. No suprise, that the city houses some of the most important Christian sights of Georgia, such as the UNESCO protected Svetitskhoveli cathedral and the Samtavro monastery.

After a walk through the picturesque streets of the Old town of Mtskheta you will continue your journey towards the mountains.

Along the Georgian Military Highway, which is considered one of the most beautiful roads in Georgia you will get a chance to stop at the Jinvali water reservoir, explore the wonderfully preserved castle Ananuri, try pure spring and mineral water and enjoy the panoramic view from the Friendship monument platform.

In Gudauri you will have 2 to 3 hours to spend at your wish - we can help you to rent ski equipment and find a ski instructor or arrange for you a paragliding flight or take you to a good and cozy restaurant. You decide and we assist you.

On the way back you can simply relax after and eventful day and take a nap, while the driver drives you safely and fast to your hotel.

Great Experience! - Awesome experience!! The views were amazing! The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He was an excellent photographer as well. I have so many wonderful photos from this trip. We had a great lunch where we learned a lot about Georgia and got some laughs in as well just chatting. Very Interesting - So we booked this tour very last minute for a public holiday so huge credit to Real Georgia Tours for even having us let alone giving us such an interesting day. Mtskhwta was beautiful and enjoyed seeing the churches and along the way our friendly driver, Mamuka, was happy to let us stop for pictures of the stunning scenary. Our guide, Tamo was really lovely & happy to be flexible to our needs. Ince we realised that we were too cold to want to stay any longer in Gudauri (take all your layers and be aware its very much just a place for snow/action sports) she instead found us a wonderful local restaurant to try dumplings which was a highlight of our trip.

He even shared information for other beautiful tourist spots like their summer capital of Georgia looking forward to come back. Lastly, my husband left one of his personal belonging they returned it to us. Their not only hospitable but also trustworthy. We are so happy we had this tour!
