  • Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino - The Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino is a notable religious site near Sighnaghi in Georgia’s Kakheti region. It honors St. Nino, a key figure in Georgian Christianity credited with introducing Christianity to the area in the early 4th century.

St. Nino is a pivotal figure in Georgian history, as her missionary efforts led to the Christianization of the Kingdom of Iberia (ancient Georgia). Her legacy is deeply respected at Bodbe Monastery, which is believed to contain her relics and her final resting place.

  • Sighnaghi - Sighnaghi is a charming town in eastern Georgia’s Kakheti region, known for its well-preserved architecture and scenic beauty. Often called the “City of Love,” Sighnaghi is famous for its enchanting atmosphere, historical importance, and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

The town is encircled by impressive defensive walls and towers built in the 18th century. These walls offer panoramic views of the Alazani River Valley and the Caucasus Mountains, enhancing the town’s scenic charm.

  • Telavi - Telavi is the capital city of Kakheti. We will visit a 900-year-old tree and view the palace of King Erekle, a popular tourist attraction. Then, we’ll head to a wine house for a complimentary wine tasting and lunch with a view of the Caucasus Mountains (Price not included).

  • Telavi - We will visit a restaurant for some fun, with free wine and chacha tasting.

  • Gombori Pass - At Gombori Pass, enjoy a scenic drive through one of Georgia’s most beautiful mountain passes, located at about 1,600 meters elevation. The pass offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks, rolling hills, and lush valleys. As we travel this picturesque route, I’ll share insights into the area’s geological features and historical significance. You’ll also learn about the local flora and fauna that thrive in this high-altitude environment. Gombori Pass is more than just a transit point; it’s a journey highlight, offering photo opportunities and a deep appreciation of Georgia’s natural beauty.

  • Ujarma Fortress - On the way, you’ll pass the beautiful views of Ujarma and the church.
