  • Mtskheta - Mtskheta is one of the oldest cities in Georgia, founded by the ancient Meschian tribes in the 5th century. Due to its historical significance and several cultural monuments, it is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It was the capital of the early Georgian Kingdom of Iberia from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD. However, Mtskheta continued to serve as the coronation and burial place for most kings of Georgia until the end of the kingdom in the 19th century.
  • Stalin Museum - Discover the city Gori, populated since the early Bronze Age. There is possible to stop and take pictures of the house where Joseph Stalin was born. While we are in Gori we can visit the complex of Stalin museum opened in 1957 near the house, where Joseph Stalin was born. The complex of the museum includes the memorial house, Stalin’s carriage, and the Two-storey exhibition building. The exhibits are divided into six halls in roughly chronological order, and contain many items actually or allegedly owned by Stalin, including some of his office furniture, his personal effects and gifts made to him over the years. There is also much illustration by way of documentation, photographs, paintings and newspaper articles. The display concludes with one of twelve copies of the death mask of Stalin taken shortly after his death.
  • Gori Fortress - Gori Fortress - a historical fortress in the center of Gori, on a high rocky hill. The ruins and archeological materials on the northern slope confirm that in the last centuries of the I millennium BC there was a strong fortress and the population around it. “Gori Fortress” is first mentioned in sources in the XIII century. Gori Fortress was an important strategic fortress, Its conquest meant political domination over the whole of Shida Kartli. Over the centuries, Gori Fortress has been repeatedly renovated and remaked. The fortress got its current appearance in 1774, when it was thoroughly repaired by King Erekle II. In the first years of Kartli-Kakheti’s unification with Russia, Gori Fortress still performed its strategic function- the Russian Army Grenadier Battalion was stationed here. Subsequently it lost its former meaning.
  • Uplistsiche Cave Town - Uplistsikhe - a rock-hewn town, one of the oldest settlements in the Caucasus and a city center It is located in Shida Kartli Region. Nowadays, it is a historical-architectural museum-reserve of Uplistsikhe. There are streets, squares, a sewer system, four gates, a secret tunnel that leads to the river Mtkvari, a fence, and so on. Nowadays, it is considered to be an open-air museum. According to the legend, Uplistsikhe was built by slaves. The slaves were given a pickaxe, half of which was covered with iron, thus excavating the caves, and the other half with gold. The slaves had to work hard to outwore the ordinary metal, after which the slave received freedom and precious metal or gold as a gift. Therefore, two things are clear. One is how much effort has been put into carving the city and the other is that gold was indeed being mined in Georgia and the legend of the Golden Fleece is no longer dispelled.

Wonderful History Tour - Our tour with Giorgi was excellent. Giorgi is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and really added to the experience. There is nothing that Giorgi doesn't know about the history of Georgia. The Stalin Museum was fascinating and for us was the main attraction of the tour. We were not disappointed ! I highly recommend this tour by Giorgi to anyone who wishes to learn more about Georgia and Stalin.

An excellent excursion, thanks to the organization and, above all, to the professionals. - Very good planning of the excursion. Excellent driver (which is quite important in this country). Exce guide (Lika). The planing was perfect: distance efficient, good places to visit, nice place for lunch. Y didn't feel in a hurry, but you could enjoy the visits. The driver was prudent, very professional and al searching for our comfortability. And as for the guide, she worried about our preferences, gave full explanations (both about the visited places and the country in general) and answered to all of our questions. All this being so kind and empathic. Thanks for all!!
