Originally, a little temple in honor of St.George was built on the burial place, but this temple did not survive. In 850 a new cathedral was erected instead of the old temple. It is a classic church in the best traditions of Georgian architecture. The 9th-century paintings and fragments of the 12th-17th-century frescos decorate the interior.
• We continue our road to Signagi. The fortified town of Signagi is one of Georgia’s smallest towns and it serves as a popular tourist destination due to its location at the heart of Georgia’s wine-growing region. The Town lies high up on the ridge overlooking the Alazani valley. The defensive walls and 28 towers were built by the King Erekle II in the 18th century against the Lezgian invasion. Little has changed here for the last 200 years. The town preserved its original image. Located on a steep hill, Signagi overlooks the vast Alazani Valley, with the Caucasus Mountains visible at a distance.

An unforgettable tour in Kakheti - The guide Levan is an educated, interested and interesting man. On the way to Kakheti, he talked to us about the history of Georgia, politics, language and many other very interesting topics. He made us listen to music from Georgia. The activities are super interesting, the places visited are little treasures, we see excellent wine and we eat the best that Georgia has to offer. The activity is well worth the price paid! I would definitely do it again. I highly recommend visiting the vineyards with him.

Wine tour to Mtskheta - We had an awesome tour of Mtskheta with our tour guide Levan from Eat This! He was so insightful and had a passion for what he was sharing with us. Showing us Jvari Monustry as well as the town of Mtskheta. We ended with the best wine tasting at Merebashvili Marani with a family that put love and passion into their wine making. Lasha made wine tasting and making seem like the best thing on earth and his mother made the most amazing food! Thanks goes to Levan our guide who knew exactly what to do and made the experience even better than expected!!

More than just another guide. - Levan did a fantastic work showing my friends and I all around Georgia, he organized everything, all tbe stays, all the stops, he could explain about the history of every location we visited and he was always helpful and accommodating. I don't know of many your guides who would go above and beyond like he did for us, and I couldn't recommend anyone more than him if you plan on having a trip to Georgia.

Best Tour Guide EVER - What can I say? Best Trip EVER... We liked Georgia, but being with Levan it gave it a special taste. He is amazing polite, always on time. We were interested also by the history of the country, and Levan was there to explain and share everything he knows. We felt safe, and in good hands. The car was comfortable and always clean. We did wine tasting, trekking, lot of yummy food. We did not expect such an amazing service, and by far best tour guide we have ever had. If you go to Gerogia, don't think twice, contact Levan :)
