Trekking in Punta Campanella - Amalfi Coast
Termini

Punta Campanella is also linked to mythological stories. It is believed that the temple of Athena, mentioned in the works of the ancient Roman writer Pliny the Elder, was located here. Legend has it that Ulysses, returning from Troy, chose Punta Campanella as a safe point of reference for his journey.

Highlights
  • Termini - Starting from Piazza di Termini, we walk along the ancient Via Minerva which leads us to a place where myth and history are almost inseparable. Walking first on an asphalt road, overlooking the Bay of Mitigliano, you come across incredible views of the wonderful island of Capri, the Gulf of Naples and, reaching Punta della Campanella, also the Gulf of Salerno.

Along the path, terraces alternate with ancient olive groves and, in the second part, a low and dry Mediterranean scrub due to the extreme environmental conditions. An interesting and satisfying walk, for lovers of history, nature, the sea and the mountains.

The route, of medium intensity, first takes us closer to sea level, to enjoy a naturalistic and archaeological site which together with the ancient Tower offer a scenario of incredible beauty.
The return involves walking the path backwards to the Termini square.
