- Great Mosque of Testour - The Andalusian village of Testour is famous with the Great Mosque, it epitomizes Andalusian architecture, especially its minaret, which features Andalusian-style inscriptions and architectural elements. The height of the minaret is 23 meters and it is an octagonal shape. The facade of the minaret is opened by small double windows adorned with glazed inscriptions and a mechanical clock at the top. Its appearance resembles the Aragonese bell towers of southern Spain. Visitors will have the pleasure of enjoying a cheese tasting to taste the specialty of the region. About 1 hour journey.

For those enchanted by archaeology and Tunisia’s ancient past, you will have the opportunity to explore two extraordinary archaeological locations, Dougga and Bulla Regia with us. Our tour begins with a stop at Testour, a village established by the Moors in the early 17th century. We will have a comprehensive tour of the city, from its renowned mosque to the charmingly adorned minaret featuring a clock with counter-clockwise moving hands. Our journey continues to Dougga, the former Roman city of Thugga. If you have a keen interest in history and art, you will enjoy touring the stunningly preserved ruins: the theatre, the capitol, the Thermal Baths, the houses, the wind rose square, the triumphal arch, the Libyco-Punic Mausoleum. Subsequently, we visit Bulla Regia, an archaeological site known for its religious edifices: the capitol, the temple of Apollo, the two Christian basilicas, and Alexander’s church.

Wonderful tour - Great tour. Chaouki was a wonderful and well informed guide. He spoke great English. The van was comfortable, with great AC. The driver, Ben, was very good. Dougga is beautiful and so well preserved. They picked us up at 7:30am and going that early was definitely good - it was so hot by the end of our tour. One tip: if you get motion sick, bring whatever you need to help with that. The drive from Dougga to Bulla Regia is very bumpy and curvy. Overall it was a great day and a highlight of our trip to Tunisia.

Spectacular Ruins Brought to Life - Ahmed's fluency in English led to us being immediately at ease in his company. He was passionate and well-informed. Our trip to Dougga was a particular highlight due to the combination of well-preserved ruins and Ahmed bringing them to life. It was a full day of sight-seeing and learning. Thank you Ahmed for all of the wonderful narration and Bessem for driving us so safely.

Excellent guide and trip. Recommend without hesitation - I had a wonderful day! Choukie, the tour guide, was exceptionally knowledgeable, fluent in multiple languages, and very easy to get along with. He was incredibly flexible, allowing me to have a say in the itinerary. Whether you want to visit shops, markets, or spend longer at the historical sites, it's entirely up to you. I didn't want to visit any markets, so had more time at the sites and for coffee breaks. Choukie, the guide was also flexible with the pick-up time, which helped me avoid the heat and crowds. I had the remarkable sites of Dougga and Bulla Regia entirely to myself—absolutely incredible! I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. An unforgettable experience. Tunisia has so much to offer. The car was comfortable and had great AC.

The highlight of this tour are the Roman ruins at Dougga. - We feel so lucky that Chaouki was our guide. He alone earns 5 stars because of his encyclopedic knowledge of history. Seeing the mosque at Testour isn't necessary, but it's a good place to stop and stretch. The ruins and mosaics at Bulla Regia are quite interesting. The highlight of this tour are the Roman ruins at Dougga - most impressive!
