Highlights

Karnak Complex Temple, Luxor Temple, and Luxor Museum.

Temple of Karnak - Our guide will take you to visit two massive temples on the eastern bank of the Nile. The first is the Karnak Temple Complex, a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings. Construction at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom and continued into the Ptolemaic Period. It’s a vast open-air museum and the second-largest ancient religious site in the world. It primarily served as a place to worship the Theban triad (Gods Amon, his consort Mut, and their son Khunso).

Luxor Temple - Luxor Temple is believed to have hosted one of the ancient Egyptian festivals, as various scenes on the walls depict the celebration of the festival (ipt rset). The inner part was built by King Amenhotep III, while the outer part was constructed by King Ramses II. Upon entering the temple, you will find a mosque called Abu Al-Haggag, built on the ruins of a church that was constructed inside the temple. At the rear of the temple, there are chapels built by King Thutmosis III and Alexander the Great.

After this incredible tour through ancient Egyptian monuments, our guide will escort you back to your hotel in Luxor.

Luxor Museum - Luxor Museum is one of the most beautiful museums, featuring ancient Egyptian statues, tools, weapons, and other objects from the Pharaonic, Christian, and Islamic periods.

1- Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut Temple, Habu Temple, and Memnon Statues.

Valley of the Kings - We will visit the Valley of the Kings, where you will see well-preserved tombs belonging to the kings of the New Kingdom (1500 B.C.), including the great ruler Ramses II, King Sety I, Queen Tawssert, and the famous child King Tutankhamun. Known as the great nobles’ necropolis of millions of years, the valley was chosen as the royal burial place for several reasons, including the quality of its limestone bedrock and its long wadi, which facilitated funeral processions.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Next, we will visit one of the most memorable sites in Thebes, the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, also known as “the Holy of Holies.” The monument’s wide expanse is breathtakingly beautiful. It is one of the best architectural buildings, designed by the engineer Senenmut. The temple consists of three levels connected by ramps and features various scenes on its walls depicting the divine birth of the Queen and her commercial expedition to Punt Land.

Colossi of Memnon - Then, we will visit the gigantic Colossi of Memnon, the memorial temple of Amenhotep III, known in Arabic as Kom El Hittan (mound of the walls). These two massive statues represent King Amenhotep III in a seated position, along with his mother and wife.

After this incredible tour through ancient Egyptian monuments, our guide will escort you back to your hotel in Luxor.

Temple of Medinet Habu - We will take you on an amazing tour to the west bank to explore the stunning temples of Medinet Habu (Ramses III). Medinet Habu is one of the most well-preserved and interesting temples, featuring scenes of the king’s battles with wonderfully preserved colors.
