Good overview of city - Did the tour as it was way too hot to walk between the main sights. Unfortunately some stops were closed due to the underground metro works. You had to wait at least an hour before catching the next bus. It was a good overview of the city.

Weak narration; primarily good for getting your bearings around the city - The primary advantage of this tour is that it gives you an overview of the city, so you can get your bearings and decide where to go. The narration is quite limited and the timing of the narration does not coincide with the sights. Compared to hop-on-hop off tours in other major European cities, this one is quite disappointing, so temper your expectations.

Mostly positive experience - The route gets you close to all the top sights in Thessaloniki and the onboard recorded commentary is good and not too many facts. One negative is they don't have any bus stops and advise you to remember/photograph where you ate dropped off first getting back on. Unfortunately we discovered that the driver stops where there is availability on the street in question and because Thessaloniki is so busy that can be 300 metres away!

This can be done better - The bus ran every 40 minutes, but with no specific schedule. If you want to get on at a different station to the one you got off at, you won't find the stop because there are no stop signs or information signs indicating the exact stop. That wouldn't be a problem if the bus came more frequently; you could just take the next one. But not with a 40-minute wait. The next day we wanted to get off at the Kastel on the mountain and then walk down into town. We had considered this the day before when we did the full tour. Unfortunately the bus didn't go there the next day and there was no information about it. So we trudged through the route, which was less interesting for us, in great heat and traffic jams. Not recommended.

ESPECIALLY NOT - We thought it would be a good idea to visit a site and take the bus back to another stop. But the routes indicated on the map given with the ticket are not always respected (probation works) and above all are not marked on the street. So difficult to find the point to take the bus again. Then the bus, according to the brochure, passes every 40/60 minutes. You never know when you are waiting if you are in the right place and for how long you have to wait. 30/40 minutes to wait is a very long time... So we left on foot. 18€ is very expensive for a bus stop. I strongly advise against it because it is not reliable enough and poorly organized.

Not a great experience in Thessaloniki - This was not my favorite experience during our trip to Greece. We bought our tickets online and for some reason you had to go to the second stop, not the one by the cruise port, to have them scan it. The process seemed very unorganized, it would have been easier just to buy the tickets when we got there. The stops are not clearly marked, and if you don't actively flag them down they will drive right past you and you'll have to wait for the next one. On our last leg back to port, the first floor of the bus had poop all over the floor. The only redeeming thing about the experience is that they give you headphones to listen to the guide as you go around the city, so it is a neat way to hear the history and see all the highlights of the city in one go.

Rather hostile and not worth the money - I cannot not recommend this. Text on earphones not too bad. Absolutely convinced the route on the map provided was not properly followed. My husband and I travelled from the White Tower to the castle in Old Town where we stayed for a couple of hours. When we tried to board a hop on bus to return the driver claimed he could not let us on as we could not produce a paper receipt. We did show him our clearly valid tickets on my phone ( bought on line) plus map plus red headphones issued by the company but that did not help. Because we insisted - valid tickets!!! - he begrudgingly let us on but was most unpleasant. My husband and I are both 71 and had remained polite… it was extraordinary.

A waste of time and money - A waste of time and money. the earphone guide was not at the right time. The dawn part of the bus was full with equipment so there was no place to seat. the driver didn't speak English and wasn't kind

Expensive ripoff. AVOID - Driver wouldn't stop at the stops. Said there wouldn't be a ride back because he probably wouldn't be coming back. Sound on the info recording was terrible and way out of synch with the tour. Total waste of already limited time. We walked back up the hill and saw what we could get to in our limited time. No roads closed. A complete waste of $53.
