- Cam Kim Island - From Hoi An, we’ll drive over Thu Bon River to visit Cam Kim island. Meet a 65-year-old couple, help them grind rice, use rice milk to make rice papers and snacks. Sit down to enjoy the snacks made by your hands. Learn about the daily life of the islanders.
- Tra Nhieu Fishing Village - Visit a unique temple built by fishermen in Tra Nhieu village to worship Giant Whales. You’ll learn about local culture and beliefs. Then we’ll drive past corn fields and rice paddies. See cow herd and the locals working in their fields. Enjoy a scenic drive along the river bank to see fishing boats.
- Tra Nhieu Fishing Village - Visit the traditional house of a 70-year-old couple. Sit down with them and learn to make colorful straw mats that local people sleep on. You’ll catch a glimpse of local lifestyles in this sleepy village.
- Duy Vinh - Stop at a nice coffee house to freshen up and learn about Vietnamese coffee culture. Enjoy a tasty coffee with nice views. Use the washroom before we continue our journey.
- Duy Hai - Drive over high bridges to take in panoramic views of fish farms, shrimp farms, rice paddies, and big fishing nets at Thu Bon river mouth.
- Cam Thanh - Visit Cam Thanh fishing village in the water coconut forest, hop in the round basket boat, a local fisherman will take you on a relaxing boat trip under the shade of coconut trees. You will use a fishing rod to catch some river crabs for fun.
- Tra Que Vegetable Village - A quick visit to Tra Que vegetable village to see the villagers growing different vegetables in their gardens. It’s a great chance to smell amazing herbs, take pictures and learn about traditional farming methods.

Outstanding Guide - a great fast paced private tour - This excursion could not have been better. A cool 1968 Jeep, an extremely knowledgeable guide and great driver. All the stops were real and nothing was touristy. You get to see life as it really unfolds across many dimensions of daily life in Vietnam villages. Great variety, you get to try to do some of the things that are done daily and it moves at a fast pace. It is truly a private tour which makes for a great experience. Highly recommend.

Tour so good we booked another!!! - Our family of 5 (ranging in age from 65 to 7) had a wonderful experience with Thanh. He was punctual and took the time to learn each of our names (and call us by name while exploring together). This makes a day together feel more like a day with a friend than a stranger! Thanh took us to many different villages to see local artisans and always moved at a pace comfortable for our whole group. He was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We enjoyed sharing information about our lives and learning about his life too! The jeeps we took on our tour were in great shape and provided a fun (unique) method of exploring. We were provided water as needed all day! We enjoyed our tour so much that we booked a second tour for the next day. Would 100% recommended.

Private Jeep Tour for Large Group - Ben from Local Buddy Tours pulled out all the stops to organise an amazing tour for our group of 21 friends.
We had 8 jeeps and 2 additional guides along with Ben and the whole trip ran very smoothly and everyone had a great time.
The guides spoke good English and were engaging, informative and humorous.
The destinations were interesting and meeting the local villagers was truly inspiring and humbling.
The lunch was also delicious.

Fantastic day visiting many different places with a great guide! - Carol was a fantastic guide with excellent English and always a smiling face. Hidden Gems - The whole experience was amazing. We were humbled to meet such wonderful people and experience the traditional Vietnamese culture. The tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this trip.

Real Hoi An - A big thank you to Sunny he made the the day like we were back in the yester year of the original Vietnam
Away from the over populated tourist areas to the back streets and country side of Hoi An riding along in a USA army Jeep
We visited local families that welcomed us with open arms
Sunny has a funny sense of humour
And very knowledgeable of the history of vietnam 🇻🇳
And many thanks to sang his safe and careful driving I would highly recommend this tour for a great experience you won't be disappointed

Wonderful experience - Tien was a wonderful tour guide, so willing to share and answer our questions. She was welcomed at all the stops we had, which made us feel special.
We particularly enjoyed the rice grinding (eating what we made), crab catching & a nip of 'happy water'.

Highly recommend this tour - Our tour guide was Sunny, he was an excellent tour guide,he was very knowledgeable, extremely friendly, mannerly and very witty.
We had a great time.
We can't leave out Lung our driver who was very mannerly they showed us parts of Vietnamese culture that we would not have seen.
Thank you both.

Totally amazing tour - and by Jeep!! - Totally amazing tour, taking in so much of local life. Travelling in an old jeep was great fun. As we didn't want to do the basket boat again, we asked to go to the pottery village instead - here we were rewarded with an opportunity to watch and do some pottery with locals, then there was rice paper making and eating with an elderly couple, watching mat making, the vegetable village and a fantastic coffee shop stop in the middle of the country. Our guide Tien Tien was excellent, both informative and fun. Excellent half day tour. Thank you.
