Great Tour Guide and a Glimpse Into Savannah's Past - Our tour guide Ashley really did a great job of doing all of the historical background work and putting together this tour. She combined that knowledge and background work with a real passion for the history that the Bonaventure Cemetery conveys about Savannah. It is a bit unfortunate that that history is primarily about the gentry of Savannah and doesn't cover anything about the later stages of slavery before the civil war (the cemetery opened in 1846) nor about the post-civil war history of African Americans. That is the reality though, and does not in any way detract from Ashley's tour. Highly recommended, and a good way to get insights as to one aspect of md-to-late nineteenth century Savannah.

Excellent Tour and Guide - This is a great tour and Ashley (our tour guide) was incredibly knowledgeable. She has done a lot of research and answered all the questions from the group. The tour was about 2 hours and is a lot of information. Bring some water and comfortable walking shoes. The walk is flat, but the paths are often uneven.

Historic ghost tour and Bonaventure cemetery - We had the most wonderful experience with Genteel and Bard, twice. We took a ghost tour one evening and also a tour of Bonaventure Cemetery. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable. I learned so much about Savannah history. I will definitely tour with them again and I would recommend them 100%.
We did go on a tour with one other company and it was horrible. Our guide knew nothing except for her scripted spiel; it was really a waste of time and money.

An absolute must!!! - I highly recommend the Genteel & Bard tour of Bonaventure Cemetery. Our tour guide, Ashley, was incredibly knowledgeable (she actually researched and created the tour!) and entertaining, and we learned so much about Savannah's history. The cemetery itself is gorgeous and absolutely worth visiting for the landscaping and statuary.

Learned so much history! - Ashley was a wonderful guide! Very knowledge and easy to visit with. We were able to ask a lot of questions as she guided us through the cemetery. We highly recommended this tour when you visit Savannah.

High Quality Tour-no gimmicks.,Repeat customers. - We have used G&B for several tours. We have also used other tour companies that have been less than great-folks look like they rolled out of bed and hopped on a trolley to read a script and collect a tip. G&B is the real deal-professional historians. They can answer questions and if they don’t know the answer will have genuine interest in researching the question. We did the cemetery tour and I was relieved that they were respectful and professional in providing tour service in a working cemetery. Fascinating tour! We will be back!

Fascinating Historic Tour - Ashley did the research behind this tour and presented it with a personal touch. The grounds are lovely even in the rain. Appreciated her use of a microphone so we did not miss a thing. Two hours flew by!

Great tour and guide - Our tour was conducted by Ashley. She was an amazing guide, both extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. There is a fair amount of walking, although slowly and on level ground. I would recommend this tour and also recommend Ashley.
