Highlights

Puerto de Frutos - The Fruit Port is a quaint pier situated along the Luján River in the town of Tigre, adjacent to the fruit market. The name originates from the mid-20th century when fruit from the Paraná Delta was brought here before being sold in Buenos Aires.

Paseo Victorica - Paseo Victorica is a remarkable spot that blends nature, river vistas, dining options, rowing clubs, and historical sites.

Catedral de San Isidro - The Cathedral of San Isidro is a neo-Gothic religious temple. It incorporates the style used in Europe from the 12th to 16th centuries, but with modern materials and techniques. The Cathedral is distinguished by its slender lines designed to point skyward, symbolizing religiosity. Its facade has been restored with imitation stone and exposed brick, with original ornaments molded in a workshop.

The main tower stands 68 meters tall. The base is a Latin cross with three naves and a circular apse. The cylindrical columns and the stone and brick walls feature stained glass windows made in France and Gothic rosettes.

Upon entering, the Cathedral’s grandeur is immediately apparent, highlighted by its recent restoration. Inside, the neo-Gothic columns and arches lead the eye to the altar.

Estacion fluvial Domingo Faustino Sarmiento - The River Station in Tigre offers a chance to enjoy the city’s attractions. Our boat service includes audio guides in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. The journey begins in the first section of the Paraná Delta, passing through the San Antonio Rivers, the “Tres bocas” area, and then the Sarmiento River. Along the way, you’ll see notable sites like the Casa Sarmiento Museum, recreational areas, typical inns, private homes, docks, native vegetation, and the unique island lifestyle.

A day with Diego - Our guide Diego was knowledgeable and shared interesting history on our car ride to the boat, pointing out neighborhoods and buildings. He took us to a wonderful Gelato place as well and was waiting for us as promised when we got off the boat tour. Diego also recommended the best restaurants in the city and was happy to answer all our questions. We recommend this tour!

Fun trip. Exceptional Driver - We booked at the very last minute but Fred was ready bright and early to drive us to Tigre. He was an absolutely wonderful guide, with perfect English, lots of knowledge about history and landmarks plus great stories and tips about how things work in Argentina. It was raining, so it was a little hard to see on the 1 hour boat tour, but we still really enjoyed it - especially the replica of the former president's house encased in glass. Afterwards, at our request Fred took us to Tigre stadium so we could buy some jerseys & we were lucky enough to get in to see the pitch! Then to San Isidro to see the gothic church and cute square. Recommend - if you can get Fred!

We absolutely loved the... - We absolutely loved the boat ride and the market in Tigre. The tour just seemed like a lot of money with very little tour. Our tour guide did not offer up much information about the areas we were in and it was more like a driver to take us to the boat and pick us up. It was a good experience overall, but it would have been nice to have a real tour with the guide.

Nice tour that you can visit for way cheaper - This is just my opinion. Our local guide was very nice and knowledgeable about our surroundings, the tour is definitively way overpriced , you can just take a ride to the listed places and enjoy without time constrains.
