Unknown Partisan Monument - The Unknown Partisan Monument is a war memorial dedicated to the warriors who fell during WWII. The monument is a prime example of socialist realism, depicting a soldier raising his right hand to wave troops forward while holding a rifle in his left. This is an ideal spot to discuss the glorification of the partisan war and how dictator Enver Hoxha used it to condemn his political rivals.

BunkArt 2 - This museum offers a storyline from 1914 to 1991, detailing the political events that occurred in Albania during that period. House of Leaves - In the House of Leaves, you’ll see the espionage operations of the notorious state police “Sigurimi” and its role in persecuting Albanians. Pyramid of Tirana - This is the most iconic piece of communist architecture in Tirana, once dedicated to Dictator Enver Hoxha, now reimagined as a Center for Technology.

Enver Hoxha’s Former Residence - This is the house of the dictator. The villa was built in the “Bllok” after the 1960s, with the older part of the building mimicking 1930s architecture. The house has remained unchanged since Hoxha’s death. Here, we will discuss how the communist establishment lived during that time and what happened after Hoxha’s death.

Postbllok - Checkpoint Monument - This memorial to communist isolation is conceived as an artistic installation and co-created by former dissident Fatos Lubonja and artist Ardian Isufi. Lubonja endured thirteen years in the hard labor camp of Spac for being critical of Hoxha’s regime. Here, we will talk about the communist crimes and the difficult transition to democracy.
