Brilliant day trip from Bishkek - Brilliantly organised trip, I’m so glad I went with datka travel. Our guide was really knowledgeable and catered to our needs really well. Joined up with another couple for this tour and they had mixed dietaries which were well looked after. Went first to Burana tower then drove on to the horse riding. Driving was really safe and the tour was brilliant. Stunning views, horses were in really good condition and well looked after, and it was a really lovely way to enjoy the scenery.

Great Introduction to the Landscapes and Culture in Kyrgyzstan - Overall great tour to see north Kyrgyztan outside of Bishkek. Faruh was an awesome guide who had a lot of information about the country. Along the way, he pointed out landmarks in different cities and towns, and different parts of the landscape. He is very flexible with short stops along the way, like if you want to take a few quick pictures at some location. And he brought coffee and water for me which I really appreciate. About 2 hours from Bishkek, we stopped at a local cafe for some tea and Kyrgyz bread/snacks. Afterward it was almost an hour to the horseback riding location. We stopped at a local family’s home, where they brought the horses. You can ride the horses into the mountains for hours if you really want, or whenever you’re tired you can let your guide know to turn back. Early spring is a little less ideal because the snow is melting and turning the ground into slush, but the views are still beautiful. The food prepared by the family is a nice presentation of traditional Kyrgyz food, and the family was very welcoming. Normally you go to Burana tower in the morning, but we ended up there toward closing time when there were almost no people. It was great exploring the area without any lines, and the mini museum has a lot of old relics. In general, you only need cash if you plan to buy souvenirs or additional snacks along the way, but we didn’t make a lot of stops like that. Otherwise everything is included with your tour. If you are traveling solo, contact the tour operator first if you want to see some other specific sites; you will be charged a single supplement fee that is almost the price of 2 people.

Best Horseback Tour!!!! - This was the most amazing horse tour I have ever done. Talgat took us to Burana Tower, and he explained the ancient history in a fun way. We stopped and ate local food. After, we went horseback riding through the mountains and made my group feel very safe and confident. We ended this with a beautiful home cooked meal. I will definitely go back and book this again!

Very pleasant tour, highly recommended - Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and experience. Talgat was very friendly and easy to communicate with. I've gained more knowledge on Kyrgyzstan culture and people. The trips to Burana Tower and mountain for horse riding were pleasant and smooth. We had a few stops along the way for snacks and photo opportunities of the landscape. The horse riding was fun despite probably me coming at the not-so-ideal time in early March as the hills were still snowy/icy/muddy. The horseman was also friendly. The horses behaved well. On the other side, I had the Burana Tower all to myself (and the guide), as this was the low season for tourists. All in all, very happy with the tour.

2nd tour with Datka Travel - 5 points out of 5 points, 100 points out of 100 points. It was a perfect tour. It was my first time experience riding a horse and it was amazing. Before riding a horse my guide instracted me and gave some tips. It total we did 3-4 hours of horse riding and I enjoyed every part of it. The nature of Chon Kemin Nationl Park is so fresh and good! Recommend to everyone who want to do horseback riding in Kyrgyzstan!

If you are lucky enough to meet Talgat Bokeshov of Datka Travel and go horseback riding, you will love it - The experience of rising horses across a small portion of the Tien Shan mountains in Kyrgyzstan far exceeded my expectations. The majestic beauty of these peaks, draped in the spectacular robes of autumn in patterns of both coniferous and deciduous trees was like galloping through a dream. The best part, however, was the company and companionship of Talgat Bokeshov of Datkq Travel. He is super knowledgeable, courteous and really great company. He picked me up at my hotel in Bishkek and right away I enjoyed his company as he told me numerous interesting stories about Kyrgyz history, politics, culture and cuisine. When it was time for us to part ways, I decided to extend the experience by hiring him to take me on an exploratory journey across the country — but I will save that story for a separate review. I highly recommend Datka. If you are lucky enough to meet Talgat of Datka Travel, ask him to tell you about both Queen Datka, and about the poor princess who was locked in Burana Tower.

Great Guide, Enchanting Horse Ride, Impressive History, Archaeological Artefacts, and Stunning Scenery! - We had such an amazing tour of Burana Tower and a stunning horse ride through the Chong Kemin Valley with Datkq Travel! Tolgat is a fantastic tour guide who speaks English really well. He is very personable, friendly, and willing to answer questions and offer cultural guidance and local wisdom. He also interpreted into Kyrgyz when the locals didn't speak Russian or English and helped negotiate good pricing with vendors. My partner and I had a wonderful time and learned so much. It was also really fun and relaxing in the beautiful Chong Kemin Valley -- seriously out of a fantasy movie or something! I highly recommend using Datka Travel during your trip to Kyrgyzstan for a truly quality trip.
