Highlights

Shinshoji - Visit Shinsei-ji Temple. It is about a 3-minute walk from the meeting point. Guests can see a rare Buddha statue with a hat and take pictures with it. The Buddha statue with a hat is very rare.
Togenukijizo Kogan Temple - Visit Kogan-ji Temple. It is about a 10-minute walk from Shinsei-ji Temple. Guests will wash the Bodhisattva statue and pray for health and long life, which is a very unique experience. On the way to this temple, guests can find unique street food shops and enjoy street food.
Rikugien Gardens - Visit Rikugien Garden. It is a 1-stop train ride and a 12-minute walk from Sugamo Station, or 10 minutes by taxi from Sugamo Station. Rikugien Garden is a huge Japanese garden called the “Garden of Waka Poetry” with 88 view spots. The garden was designed in 1702, about 300 years ago, by a samurai king. It was designed as a small world with 88 viewpoints, such as the sea, mountains, rivers, ponds, waterfalls, forests, etc. In the garden, you can enjoy Japanese tea and sweets at a good viewpoint, sitting in the same area as the samurai king. Komagome Station is the tour’s closing point, about a 10-12 minute walk from the garden. Guests can return to the Tokyo center area from Komagome Station.

Additional Information

Guest will visit 3 places. Koganji-temple - Guest will do Bodhistant statue wash ceremony. Shinseiji-temple - Guest will see rare Buddha statue with hat. Guest can take picture with Buddha statue. Rikugien Garden - It has 88 view points, huge Japanese garden produced in year 1700 by local Samurai king. Guest will experience short hiking and challenge to find view points. At least guest can find 20-30 view points. At tea house in the garden, sitting on the bench and having Japanese tea, Guest can feel Samurai king life with amazing view. After finish Rikugien tour, this tour will be closed at Komagome station that is 10 minutes walk from the garden.
