Salt Pan History and Beauty - The sunset salt pan tour was incredible! If you enjoy history and beautiful things, put this on your list. Easy pick up/drop off point with lots of nearby parking. Our guide Alessio was so friendly, welcoming, funny, and deeply knowledgeable. We saw three different salt pans and visited the salt museum at one of them. The history is fascinating as is the technical aspects of how the salt is made. We tasted different salts and got to walk around one of the pans at our own pace. The pictures can’t do it justice. I highly recommend this tour if you plan to travel to Trapani, and Trapani Emotions especially. The experience was just over two hours so it was easy to do activities before and then have dinner afterwards!

An activity not to be missed!! - Alessio is an exceptional person!! He only speaks Italian and we speak French, but he has booked us a visit in a very small group to speak slowly and to make sure that we can understand the explanations. The activity includes travelling to the Trapani Saltworks in a very clean and comfortable private minivan. After listening to valuable explanations about salt harvesting, you will go to the Salt Museum. The guide provides a private tour of the guide so you can ask your questions. You can then taste the excellent local salt (and buy some if you like), then you can walk alone in the saltworks. We were there just before sunset, and the view was beautiful!!! At the end of the activity, a little attention from Alessio particularly touched us!!
