Both the preparation and the tasting of the tiramisu are accompanied by some excellent prosecco; the walking tour of Treviso adds an extra flavour; add in the friendliness and hospitality of the hosts and you've got the perfect mix!

Must-do afternoon in Treviso - We spent a lovely afternoon making our own traditional tiramisu! While waiting for it to set in the fridge, Riccardo took us on a walking tour of Treviso, sharing some very interesting places and facts with us. Thank you for your hospitality!!

Annie and Marc on honeymoon - My fiancé and I recommend this experience completely, this trip proved a fantastic opportunity to divulge in to Italian hospitality, history and culture! Ricardo and his wife were extremely welcoming, making us feel at ease from the first point of booking. Our Italian language is very poor but this was no barrier for either host - their English was excellent. We were collected from Treviso train station and then the historical tour began. It is evident that Ricardo is both passionate and knowledgable about his city. He gave a general history to the area and pinpointed points of historical and cultural interest. You wouldn’t find this level of detail in a tourist book or leaflet. Once we arrived in the heart of Treviso, we were welcomed in to the swish boutique hotel. It was absolutely stunning! Ricardo’s family are clearly talented artists, with an eye for home decor. The setting was peaceful and calm, they even played birdsong to add to the ambience. The kitchen area proved the perfect backdrop for our tiramisu lesson. Anelica had prepared all the ingredients and kitchen instruments, ready to start. This was a private lesson with only myself, my fiancé and Anelica. We felt at complete ease and Anelica let us work at our own pace, answering our questions as we went along. Once the pudding was prepared, it needed to set. In this time, Ricardo took us out for the walking tour. The city is completely flat so this was an easy-going tour, we felt the pace was spot-on. We were led from hidden gem to hidden gem. Ricardo knows the city well and all it’s ‘secret’ paths and back entrances. We talked freely about the city history and our experiences of Italy. Once we had seen the main sights of Treviso, we returned to eat our Tiramisu. They were set and possibly the best we have ever tasted! In fact, I couldn’t finish mine because the portion was soo large! Our hosts were very welcoming, they could do no more. We enjoyed Prosecco with our dessert. The couple were very knowledgable for they run their own Prosecco tours also. We learned about the difference between D.O.C and D.O.C.G and about the different grapes. We walked away learning as much about Treviso’s culture as we did it’s history. Over all, we had a fantastic time. We would certainly recommend this tour for all ages and groups. We both felt it was great value, especially in comparison to other Trip advisor tours and experiences we’ve purchased on our honeymoon. Had we known about the hotel and Ricardo’s and Anelica’s other services, we would have booked more or even stayed.
