The beautiful scenery in Cappadocia is beyond words~~ - We took off in a hot air balloon on 2024/04/05. Although we got up early and traveled in the dark, But when you see the hot air balloon slowly rising into the sky, When we climbed to the highest point, we saw the sun rising slowly on the other side of the horizon~ In an instant, all the hard work turned into silent emotion and shock~~ The sky was clear and cloudless, and the wind was gentle that day. We saw nearly 200 colorful hot air balloons in the sky. As I slowly drifted through the valleys of Cappadocia, I felt so moved. It was so beautiful. This indescribable beauty~~

Once in a Lifetime Experience with Turquaz Balloons! - What an unforgettable memory on 23 April! Celebrating my dad's 75th birthday and my own 43rd birthday with Turquaz Balloons Team was absolutely Magical. The sunrise from the hot air balloon was simply breathtaking, especially with the sight of other balloons in the distance being filled up with air - colourful and MAGICAL. The tour was fantastic, followed by a delightful spread of fresh strawberries, chocolate cake, and champagne. And to top it all off, the Turquaz Balloons team surprised us with a birthday cake and a heartfelt rendition of "Happy Birthday." It was a truly special day, filled with incredible views of Cappadocia. Thank you so much Turquaz Balloon Team for everything!!!! ***Advice: book early and make sure you have extra days to spare incase the weather doesn't allow the balloon flight.

Amazing experience - Our ride was calcelled because of the strong wind , but in spite being fully booked, they found us a place for the day after !! They are really professional and the experience was amazing !! Our captain Eftal was simply the best as well ❤️

Bucket List Balloon Ride - If you are contemplating hot air ballooning while in Goreme, don't hesitate - book and with Turquaz! We felt so safe and had such a magical experience that they work so hard to cultivate for you. From the friendly and immensely hard-working ground crew, to our pilot Selcuk and co-pilot Ismail, who had a great sense of humor and piloted with such confidence and expertise (can't believe the landing was so gentle...and on the trailer no less!), to the preparation taken to make the launch successful and smoothe...all of it was incredible! The stats the pilot provided once landed about height and speed and amount of time in the air (we were in the air for almost exactly an hour) were also quite interesting. The treats at landing and 🍾 🥂 were icing on an already decadent cake. The views are something you will never forget.

Turquaz Balloons is the best for your Cappadocia Hot Air Balloon ride! - Our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) immensely enjoyed our first ever hot air balloon ride at sunrise over Cappadocia on 24 August 2023. We knew we wanted to experience this magical event, but, never having ridden in a hot air balloon before, still had consternations about safety/reputation of the countless hot air balloon companies from which to choose. After hours of research, much of which was spent pouring over Trip Advisor reviews, we settled on Turquaz Balloons, which was also the #1 company recommended by our Cappadocia hotel, Sultan Cave Suites. Given the outstanding reputation of the hotel, the hotel’s recommendation of Turquaz counted for a lot and tipped us toward Turquaz. Turquaz was a great choice! We purchased the Comfort Flight (slightly more space/fewer passengers in the balloon) and this, too, was worthwhile. Our family of four had a compartment within the balloon to ourselves (there were four compartments in total, and a total of 16 passengers plus the pilot). We were picked up promptly at 4:30AM at our hotel and taken to another cave hotel for a light pre-flight breakfast consisting of various breads, fruits, coffee, and juices. During the breakfast time frame, the hot air balloon companies assess the wind direction and get the final OK from the Turkish Aviation Authority. Once we got the all-clear, we were driven a shot distance to the launch site, which was a sight to behold. Dozens of hot air balloons were being inflated in the dark, slowly growing/glowing as passengers arrived. Aboard the balloon, our launch was smooth and seamless. Seeing all of the balloons taking off around us and floating among them over the mountains and fairy chimneys of Cappadocia was breathtaking, especially when the sun eventually popped up over the mountain ridge, casting a warm glow over the terrain below. Like every other passenger, we took countless photos! We were all surprised by how little movement the balloon’s basket made - the movement was slow and gradual, there was no rocking or feeling of instability. After the approximately hour-long ride, we descended into an open field where the Turquaz team was waiting for us (they had been communicating with our balloon pilot on our likely landing spot, which is mostly determined by the direction of the wind). We took our ready position crouched down in the basket holding onto rope handles, and the descent was perfect, we barely felt anything, not even a bump. We are incredibly grateful to our very experienced pilot, Selçuk, he was terrific throughout the entire experience. Once landed, the Turquaz team invited our kids to help deflate the balloon and they were thrilled to assist. There was a small champagne toast with cake and berries, and certificates and etched and painted clay medallions were presented to all of the passengers. We were driven back to our hotel by 7:30AM, in time for our hotel’s abundant breakfast buffet, and with plenty of time for our 9:30AM day tour of Cappadocia. We would highly recommend booking your hot air balloon ride through Turquaz - and book it early! Definitely get the Comfort Flight if you can. Thank you, Selçuk, for a beautiful flight!

Would recommend! - Clean, quick pick up in the morning, very good instructions for the hot air balloon. I felt very safe the entire ride! Champagne provided after the flight was lovely.

Extremely poor take off spot, appalling customer service - Went with the Comfort Flight with 16 people per basket, was quoted €245 when I enquired in July, by the time I wish to book at the end of August, they decide to increase it to €280, of course cannot say I’m happy about this. Had so much grief with payment, they provided an online link to provide credit card details but the link didn't work. After arriving Cappadocia, I whatsapp’ed them to make sure I still have my spot and they insisted that I have to go to their office to pay a day before the flight, which was extremely inconvenient. I was staying in in Çavuşin and have booked a day tour, I explained my situation but they still kept insisting I have to go to their office to pay a day before the flight, actually suggested that I should ask the tour driver to take me to their office, which made no sense whatsover! At the end I had to order a taxi very early in the morning, go to their office, pay and then taxi straight back to my hotel, only had 20 mins to have breakfast before the tour driver came, all this unnecessary stress because of their lack of capability to take online payment and unwillingness to be flexible. Transfer, breakfast, flight itself, length of flight, safety, all the post flight champagne / certificate, no problem with any and all went smoothly. For 16-person basket, there are 4-person in each section which is quite crammed. But why such low rating? The biggest problem lies with their take-off spot, it was far from where most other hot air balloons take off and because of this, there was not a single moment when we were surrounded by other hot air balloons, we were on the edge so other hot air balloons were always on one side. The pilot did keep turning the balloon around so everyone had chances to get the nice views but this wouldn't be necessary if they had a better takeoff spot. Also a lot of other hot air balloons will fly over interesting places like Goreme town or even go lower down Love Valley, it did not happen on my flight, we flew over barren land and it was boring. Furthermore, the pilot mentioned a video during flight so I asked over whatsapp afterwards and was told to email. Emailed, no reply, emailed again, no reply, whatsapp’ed then finally got a reply asking whether I had paid for the video. Well, no one ever mentioned anything about the option of purchasing a video. I replied within 5 mins asking how I can purchase the video then, again NO REPLY. Whatsapp’ed again and finally found out there were problems with the video, disappointing but the staff should at the very least have the decency to reply and give an honest answer rather than just ignore emails. Did get a hot air balloon flight, but cannot say it was a good experience and certainly will not recommend them.

No flexibility on cancellation - Beware of booking with Turquaz Balloons. Our booking got cancelled on 6th May. They don't have flexibility like other Balloon operators. We had to go for a reputed one later as Turquaz was not flexible.
