Great tour with an amazing guide - I cannot say enough good things about this tour, due completely to our guide, Alican! I’m fairly confident all the red tour itineraries are pretty much the same and it is the guide that makes it special so we won the lottery. Alican has a great gentle sense of humor, obvious love of being a guide, and an interest in the attendees. He was organized in providing information, always welcome to questions and tangents but never forgot to circle back around to the original topic. He made the tour enjoyable and educational. We would do any tour with him anytime!

Best Historical Tour in Cappadocia! - Mustafa is a great guide - Mustafa is an incredible guide, the best we've had. He's insightful, funny, and keeps you very engaged. I loved that we had a small amount of time in each location to do what we wanted, it felt enough. We also loved the pistachio coffee cafe stop next to the valley, buy a pack there if you like it because you won't find the same one elsewhere. I'd heartily recommend this tour, much preferred it to the green tour, mainly because of Mustafa.

Really informative tour... - Really informative tour with our guide Yusuf. Yusuf was very knowledgeable, engaging and funny (despite our group being pretty lacklustre). The sites were all interesting and our guide gave lots of info and time to explore and take photos

Small group. Great guide. - Dozens and dozens of opportunities to take some truly memorable photos of some awesome things. The underground city was my personal favorite. Our guide Yusuf was excellent and made the trip memorable. Wear sunscreen and drink water.

Mixed feelings about this tour - Guide Mustafa was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. We wished however he would actually walk and guide us on the tour sites, rather than giving a compact historical debrief (which was rather good eventhough compact) and asked us to walk on our own while he hung back in the shade to wait for us. Ask him anything - he had a good detailed answer on the history. Day started out well with him giving alot of detailed explanation on the history of cappadocia, how it was geologically formed, the economy of the people - very fascinating. Göreme open air museum which I was really looking forward to and the reason I book a tour guide - to give me info about each site - turned out to be a let down. Our guide stood with us at the entrance, giving alot of fascinating information about the entire places history for a good 20 mins or so while standing on one spot near the entrance. He then told us he was not allowed to go into each of the chapels scattered around the huge open air museum space as it is a rule to limit number of people in each site due to preservation of the space. While walking around the site however, our group realised the other tours had guides walking with them up to each chapel entrance - their guides just didn't enter the chapels with them. We wished our guide did that - there was so much more history that he could have told us, site by site instead of compressing it into a 20 min speech. Other spots we were brought to didn't feel like much -a jewellery making shop, we weren't there to observe craft being made, but to be sold stuff. Very beautiful pieces no doubt, but we were left to the mercy of very intense sales people, that makes you cautious to mention anything looks nice - salesperson takes that as a hint to try to sell u. In avanos - we went to a pottery making gallery. A master craftsman demonstrated how he makes a complex decanter - wonderful. But again after that we were ushered through a very very expensive pottery gallery to purchase items. I respect art has high value, and their pottery was very very beautiful, but the tour was starting to feel very much like shop stops. Finally stopped at a Valley which I assumed was devrent Valley - guide gave a very brief explanation of the place and told us to walk on ahead and take photos while he hung back (again) at the car side shaded from the sun. The formations looked beautiful, we weren't sure what to look out for - if the guide actually walked with us and pointed out things maybe it would be more interesting?
