Monastery Sevanavank - Lake Sevan is one of the largest high-altitude freshwater lakes globally. On a narrow rocky peninsula in the northwest part of Sevan Lake stands Sevanavank Monastery, a notable example of medieval Armenian architecture. It was established in 874 AD by Princess Mariam.
