Highlights

Boat trip - Kayaking - Cruising to Lan Ha Bay, sleep on the boat.

Lan Ha Bay - We take small junk for easy cruising around the floating fishing village and leaving, arriving at the harbour, beaches and lagoons in the low tide or shallow water areas.

After lunch, we will move to the sleeping boat Cat Ba Ventures around 13:45 pm (we change boats in the bay).

Cruise around Lan Ha Bay. Visit amazing landscapes and a floating fishing village.

12.30: Have lunch on the boat.
Kayaking for 1.5 - 2 hours through the rock arch to hidden lagoons and tunnels to discover Bat cave and Dark Cave.
Keep cruising to Ha Long Bay to sightseeing the most beautiful landscapes at less touristy areas. Enjoy the sunset on the bay.

7:00pm: Have dinner and overnight on the boat
Optional: Squid fishing at night.

Boat trip - Cycling - Trekking at Viet Hai village, sleep another night on the boat

Viet Hai Village - After breakfast, we will move to a small boat to Viet Hai pier, Ride a bicycle 5km to pass the beautiful lagoon and the lovely cave, through the rice field and valleys to the village.

Cat Ba National Park - 10:30am
We will do 2-3 hours trekking through the rain forest and valleys. We will climb up to the top of the mountain of Navy Peak where you have a breathtaking views of Ha Long Bay, Cat Ba National park and Viet Hai Village.

1:30pm
Have lunch at a local house with home cooked food then walk around and meet the friendly people who live within the National Park. Spend your time wandering around and have some chatting with local villagers.

Lan Ha Bay - 2:30pm Ride bicycles pass to the dock then take a boat to visit another part of Lan Ha Bay and return to our sleeping boat.

7:00pm Have dinner, relax and spend another lovely night in the bay.

Boat trip - Kayaking - Cruising to visit Ha Long Bay.

Tien Ong Cave - - After breakfast, we keep cruising to discover another side of Ha Long Bay and Cong Tau lagoon. You can enjoy the beauty of hundreds of limestone islands in less touristy areas.
Visit Dau Be Island, Kayaking 1 and half hours to discover Ho Ba Ham (3 hidden lagoons).
Swimming relax at Ba Trai Dao beach.

  • After lunch we will cruise to another part of Lan Ha Bay.
  • Return to Cat Ba Town at 15.00 (you can catch the last bus or speed boat at 16h to go back to the mainland or stay another night in Cat Ba).

During this trip, you will have opportunities to swim, kayak, and undertake challenging treks such as a rock climb up a steep mountain for a comprehensive view of Lan Ha bay.
  • All the necessary kayaks and 3-day food supply will be on the boat, allowing you to kayak at your leisure.
  • We will dock in two different locations over two nights. Our chosen site for overnight boat stays is a calm lagoon void of any nearby boats.
  • We will guide you through stunning areas offering picturesque landscapes, pristine nature, clear waters, secluded beaches, and fewer tourists.
  • Our local guide will assist you in exploring the bay.
  • Not for children under 10 years old and old people.

3D-2N tour - We were on a 2N 3D tour All the good things : 1. Our your guides for the first night and crew: Tony and Ning. They explained to us the beautiful story of Lan Ha and Ha Lan Bays, Vietnam’s culture, best delivery of anecdotes by Tony. 2. Amazing food and company. We met great couples from all over the world and food was provided to everyday in a family style setting all of us around one table. Gave us a chance to get to know each other and enjoy the beautiful nature while eating and cruising. 3. Kayaking tours were very fun and we got to do some upper body workout lol while enjoying the caves and bays 4. Our second night tour guide or may I say a true magician Hang who entertained everyone in with fun ticks and great attitude ***** The one not so good thing: It’s a very much a game time decision of course- we didn’t get to enjoy the hiking or exploring the Cat Ba island on our second day due to rain- I think it would have been best to either skip it or do it later in the day. Obviously weather is unpredictable but we wished we asked to not join the day exploring tour since we got stuck on the island doing nothing pretty much. I mean we still got to enjoy a little bit of biking and fish massage and learned about Vietnamese’s old houses but definitely no cave exploring or hiking! ***** Overall - amazing experience, highly recommend it. Catba adventure company is extremely reliable. They will make sure you have gotten to your destination, are informed about everything and communicate in a timely manner.

Amazing trip - highly recommend! - We had a brilliant 3 days, 2 nights cruise with Cat Ba Ventures and couldn’t recommend them more highly. We particularly loved our tour guides, Ben, Tony and Huyen, they were all so knowledgeable about the area and available all the time to help us with anything. Special mention to Tony who taught us a lot about the history of Vietnam and helped us see the very rare monkeys that live only in Cat Ba - was amazing!

Amazing guides made the experience - Really well run adventure, we got to explore amazing areas of Cat Ba and Ha long bay. The highlights were hiking and looking at local fish farms. We had amazing guides, Ben, Huyen and Tony. All had amazing English, taught us lots of history about Vietnam and the local communities. I would definitely recommend doing our tour with one of these 3 guides.

Amazing, adventure, great food - We had such a great time on the boat. Our guide Tony made everything so special and comfortable for us. We learned a lot, laughed a lot and felt like he really cared about creating a good time for us. The Moon Hotel we stayed in was beautiful and the staff was supportive and nice. Also the rooms on the boat had a lot of space. The food was great too. All in all it was just amazing! I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an adventure, because the activities are definitely not that „relaxing“. It is totally worth it though! 100% would do it again. Special thanks to Tony for the great time!

Friendly anf funny staff showed us the nicest places - We booked the 3D/2N trip at cat Ba and Halong bay and had 3 different guys (Sunny,Ben and Toni) all of them were very friendly and we could ask them everything. They were very funny as well 😅. We did a nice hike on day 2 and even if the weather wasn‘t that good it was worth seeing it all. On the first day they showed us the Lan Ha Bay, which is as beautiful as the halong bay, but less crowded. We were almost alone there and did some cayaking and swimming. Food was also good.

3D/2N 🔝 - Everything was great! Food was delicious, the boat was clean and the staff was friendly. Weather wasn't the best but nobody can do anything about that :) Our guides Ben, Sunny and Toni tried hard and went on great trips with us.

Excellent! - We were very lucky with the weather and with our tour guide Tony, to whom we owe special thanks. A real original among all the guides who accompanied us on our 4-week tour. He spoiled us and captivated us with his informative stories about Vietnam. Thank you Tony. The time on the ship, our activities on land and water were perfect. A paradise on earth is the view that seems to reinvent itself again and again. Loved it! - Lovely! We truly often were the only boat in the bays.. no tourist crowds at all! After I was a little disappointed about the veg food they improved it right away to a top notch standard- what a service! Tony was a funny, entertaining and thoughtful guide. Thank you so much! Beautiful address - We spent 3 exceptional days with cat ba ventures. The organization is remarkable. The cabin in the boat is spacious, clean and well appointed. Excellent meal and breakfast on board. The crew and guide do everything they can to ensure you have a good stay. Kayaking, cycling and hiking allow you to appreciate the site. In the evening you fish squid from the boat and the cook prepares them for you the next day The icing on the cake was that we stayed there on my birthday. I was surprised at dinner to have a birthday cake with candles to blow out. The cake was shared with the other guests. Without hesitation, I will return to cat ba ventures.

Great cruise, great guides. - Great cruise, great guides. It was a very nice tour. The focus on the less touristy areas is worth the money. When you go kayaking through various caves in a small group, it's simply unique. The food was also very tasty. It's not a luxury cruise. The equipment is basic by "western" standards. The hike was also more of a climbing tour. So hiking/climbing shoes are definitely recommended here. Praise also goes to the guides Tony and Ben, who rounded off the trip with great stories and insights.
