QXVX+8HV - 8.00: Van and tour guide pick up
8.20: To National Park gate. Buy entrance fee and start trekking.
8.30 -11.30: On the trail through the tropical forest you will be immersed in nature and see many butterflies.
11.30: You will stop at Frog Pond (trail from Park gate to Frog Pond is 6 km). This is the largest freshwater lake in the middle of the National Forest. From the bottom of the pond, reaching up to thousands of trees and water - the species is only found in the Frog Ponds not found anywhere else on the island. There are many types of fish and crab in the pond.
12.00 - 13.00: Continue the journey from Frog Pond to Viet Hai village (3.5 km). This is a small village of local residents with about 100 families.
13.00: Have lunch and take a rest at Viet Hai village, take a fun experience by fish massage your feet.
14.00: Free to explore the lives of people in the village, cycling 5km to Viet Hai harbor.
15.00: Boat will take you through Lan Ha Bay, you have a chance to admire the scenery of beautiful Lan Ha Bay, Cai Beo fishing village. Our boat will stop at a floating house to take kayak then rows to a wild beach for swimming.
16.45: Back to Cai Beo pier, car take you to Cat Ba town.

Cat Ba National Park spans over 15,200 hectares, which includes 9,800 hectares of terrestrial forests and 5,400 hectares of marine area. Specifically, an area of 800 hectares is designated for strict protection as primary forest, while the other 14,400 hectares are allocated for ecological rehabilitation.
Cat Ba stands out as a unique national park due to its diverse ecosystems: the karst forest ecosystems on limestone mountains, montane wet ecosystems, mangrove ecosystems, marine ecosystems with coastal coral reefs, and cave systems that provide a special environment for bats, as well as agricultural lands nestled in valleys like Khe Sau or along the valley communities.
Boasting ecological and biological diversity, Cat Ba National Park is home to a range of stunning natural features, from expansive ancient forests and enigmatic caves to the azure sea with uniquely shaped islands and idyllic beaches.

Perfect day perfect guide . Good physical condition needed. - Beautiful day .
Happy the weather was Nice no rain and the water of the sea was calm .
Our guide Ang was so Nice and did a great Job. We could not have been any luckier with him to be our guide.
6 stars for him.
The hiking tour itself required a good condition . We even did Some climbing over rocks .

a fantastic nature experience - Anh guided us safely and reliably through the jungle. We had considered doing the tour on our own, but given the paths and the four hills, we were very glad that we had Anh. There was also a small fall, but Anh treated the injury professionally!
Lunch was also plentiful and very tasty, and the subsequent boat trip with kayak tour and swimming break was extremely relaxing after the strenuous hike!
A really successful day!

Fantastic day hiking in Cat Ba - Had a great day hiking with Thang who did an amazing job looking after us. The hike is quite strenuous and you definitely need good footwear. Be prepared for some steep climbs and needing to use your hands in places. Thang was brilliant helping my wife through some of the more difficult sections and also during the long descent to Viet Hai. The food in Viet Hai was really good, some of the best we have had in Vietnam. The cycling and the kayaking were very enjoyable too. Overall a great day out although very tiring, would thoroughly recommend.

A trip full of fun activities, totally recommend - Our trip was top!! We had an privat tour.
The hiking trough the national park was totally worth it. We saw many animals and a beautiful nature. We had much fun even though it was really exhausting. So you should be in a good body condition and you definitely need good trekking shoes. The lunch was yummy. We could choose between vegetarian, seafood and meat. At the end we had much fun kayaking and swimming.
Our guide was extremely friendly, courteous and entertaining. He radiated positive energy. That's why he made the trip unique, even though his English wasn't the best. Thank you again!!

Awesome experience. Be prepared for a strenuous trek. - The trek was quite physically demanding, with a fair bit of climbing. The bike ride around Viet Han village was beautiful. The boat ride and kayaking around Lan Ha was stunningly beautiful. We were taken to a beach which we had to ourselves. Awesome experience.

Superb discovery of Cat ba with Ba - Great tour of Cat ba island with Ba, our local guide. He knows every corner and showed us his island with love and kindness. A real pleasure to have spent the morning with him. The car was waiting for us at the end of each excursion too. Everything was great

Overall Nice Day - Hike is sadly without any nice views - Good, challenging hike up and down five peaks with some scrambling/climbing and the majority rocky trekking. Unfortunately there are no nice vistas or animals on the hike - its all climbing under the jungle. Lunch was plenty and very good. The bike ride is a nice easy 5k to the port with some great views. Perhaps the most interesting was riding the local taxi boat to the kayak station and then again back to the island port.
The guide was very nice. Hospitable and on the look out to make sure our small group was doing ok on the hike and throughout the day.

Intense hike - Park is beautiful but not much wild life. 4-5 hours of steep climbing and many dangerous slippery and steep situations. Nice guide, afterwards we enjoyed cycling and kayaking

Not the best tour - Not the greatest tour.
The hike itself is very long, repetitive and no view at all throughout the hike. When you finally arrive to Viet Hai village you realize there is absolutely nothing to do other than eating lunch. Then very short bike ride to the little boat and kayaking on the bay which is nice.
The guide doesnt really speak english is more there to guide you and show you where to go. Also asked him to send me the group pictures on Whats App and never replied to me.
