Day 1: Hanoi – Haiphong – Halong Bay – Lan Ha Bay (Lunch + Dinner)

07:05 Bus from Hanoi Old Quarter to Cruise port in Catba town.
12:05 Transfer by tender to the Venezia cruises.
12:15 We welcome our guests onboard the cruise and then check in, enjoy Welcome Drink, receive cruise brief and safety instruction by crew member and Cruise Manager.
12:30 We have lunch before continuing our journey via the islets. These amazing limestone karst formations rise up out of the sea in an impressive manner. This area is untouched, as not many cruise ships use the route via the Cat Ba Island – Coc Ngoi islet – through Cua Dong to Ba Trai Dao area.
14:45 We progress to Ba Trai Dao beach area of Lan Ha Bay a separate part of Halong Bay. This is a quiet tourist paradise in Vietnam. The region is known for its pristine beaches and spectacular beauty, having about 400 fascinating islands. Unlike the main, Ha Long Bay, the islands of Lan Ha Bay are forested, and most are small in stature.

Lan Ha Bay - 15:00 Try your hand at kayaking or simply just enjoy a swim. This is a great experience, immersed in the crystal clear waters of the bay, in the Ba Trai Dao area.
17:45 Returning your Venezia Cruises boat you can watch the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. Onboard you may join a traditional cooking class. Our chef will instruct you in the making of some Vietnam dishes. In the early evening the boat has it’s Happy Hour deal.
19:00 Dinner is served. Enjoy delicious local food prepared and served for you by our wonderful onboard catering staff. This is a delightful meal in an intimate romantic setting.
21:00 Enjoy the landscape of the bay at night up on the top deck. Relax whilst enjoying drinks from the bar. Try your hand at night squid fishing, enjoy the funny Karaoke time with friends and family. Overnight on Venezia Cruises

Viet Hai Village – Lan Ha Bay – Ha Noi (Breakfast + Lunch)

Lan Ha Bay - 06:00 Begin your new day with taking photos, or enjoy the sunrise from your cabin window.
Enjoy a light breakfast in the delighted and peaceful beauty of the bay
08:00 Transfer to a tender to visit Viet Hai Village on Cat Ba Island and hop on a bicycle ride (electric car also available) through a rainforest tunnel that leads to a village nestled in a valley deep in a national park. Meet, visit a traditional house, and greet local inhabitants doing their daily work, see their homes and the village school.

Return to Venezia Cruises boat for check-out procedures.
10:45 Whilst cruising back you can enjoy a delightful lunch.
11h45 We return to the quay side in the south of the bay, where our visitors disembark.
12h00 We bid farewell at the port, this is the end of the program. We hope you have enjoyed your time with us and wish you a safe onward journey.

With the new route to Lan ha Bay just built 1 year before by our Company, the time from Hanoi to Halong Bay had cut shorten, we are very fast to reach to the port and check in to our luxury cruise,

We will take you to the Catba Island and also Lan Ha Bay, it mean that our route more further than other cruise just travel around Halong Bay

Amazing views! - Our trip was so good! The views were incredible… and the boat was really nice. We had a small issue with the room, bcs we booked the second floor one and they didn’t put us on the second floor, but they compensated us with the difference between the rooms price, to spend in the bar, which we very much appreciated 😁 Kayaking around the limestone was so good as well, but the best was swimming in this dreamy location! Thank you so much to our guide, T!! who looked after us so well. I’d recommend this trip to everyone.

Venezia Cruise - We had a really nice experience on the Venezia cruise. The crew members on board were really attentive and reactive of our well being. Our tour guide Mr. T was a great english speaker and explained us a lot about CatBa Island and surroundings.

Best cruise in Lan Ha bay - They took care of us from the start till the end. The trip was nice and well organized. Food was excellent and they had even vegan options. We also were amazed by the beauty of Lan Ha bay. Very wonderful time here!

Amazing trip in Lan Ha Bay ! - The cruise was great. The area the crew got us was not crowded at all and the crew was super! Also the kayak/swimming part was so cool as well as the bike trip in Cat Ba Island. I wish I had more time here!

Cruise in Lan Ha Bay - A pleasant cruise with lots of activities. The staff is kind and attentive. We did kayaking, karaoke, cooking classes, bike rides and squid fishing.

Good but not 4 star - Mixed thoughts on the cruise Positives- - the scenery was absolutely stunning (you do not go to ha long bay but you go nearby to another beautiful bay and it’s very quiet and tranquil) - lots of food- food was nice - nice to meet other people - we had a lovely group of six which helped the experience - kayaking is lovely - you are just sort of left to your own devices there’s no directions or info given about the area - the guide is lovely but his English is not amazing - he offered to do meditation on the second morning which was very thoughtful of him - staff on the boat very good Negatives - Cooking class is just spring roll making which is fine but it isn’t a cooking class - karaoke from 9pm which is fun for an hour or so but then some guests/guides very keen to carry on late into the night - would be simple to introduce an 11pm curfew as can imaging if karaoke goes on into early hours guests would not sleep well as it is very loud - also it’s a very early morning the second morning so being up really late isn’t ideal - bathroom didn’t smell great - no WiFi on the boat

Avoid - Avoid this company. We had two major issues during our trip which made it overall largely unenjoyable. 1) our toilet in our room overflowed when the boat hit wavey bits all over the floor. We flagged and they put down a towel which sat in the bathroom for the rest of the trip covered in stuff from the toilet. They didn’t even wipe the bathroom floor. It was vile. 2) karaoke continued until after midnight due to some selfish, drunk guests. This meant we did not sleep much as had to be up at 6:30 for breakfast, thus ruining the next day. There was even families onboard. We asked for a partial refund and have been ignored by the company. They do not care once you have got your money. c£120 each for this rubbish. Also, my partner does not eat fish and the evening meal had 3 fish dishes, 1 chicken which was inedible so he hardly had anything to eat.

Absolutely terrible company. Avoid. - Awful company. We went on the 2D1N Cat Ba/Ha Long/Lan Ha cruise. Was awful from start to finish. Transfer was super early such that we missed breakfast because they couldn't wait 5 minutes for us to even go up and check our room, despite being >20 mins early. Dude was very arrogant. Then on the boat, when we hit open waters our toilet water splashed all over the bathroom floor, literally covering the place in urine and water. We told staff, who just launched a towel down in amongst it all - nice stinking towel just left there for the whole trip. Then the karaoke - started at 9, continued past midnight. 3 guests screaming into the wee hours while the rest of us tried to sleep. Kept us up and we had to be up at 6:30 for a 7am breakfast. Under slept so did not enjoy the second day at all. We offered to sit out the 2nd day and just leave for a partial refund. Head office said they'd "find a solution". This solution has been to ignore all of our messages and emails so far. Once they've got your money, it's gone - be warned. We aren't moany people, but for $150 this tour is a disgrace. Avoid at all costs in my opinion - way nicer boats and better quality trip for the money. How on earth they have 5 starts I'll never know - just appalling.
