Highlights
  • Sian Ka’an - After passing the entrance to the Sian Ka’ an Biosphere, the guide will give an introductory tour on the biosphere. After driving for another 30 to 40 minutes on an unpaved BUMPY ROAD (this is an adventure!) you will board a boat in order to explore the coastal lagoons and marine ecosystems that characterize Sian Ka’an, and discover the fauna and flora that lies within it.
IF the weather allows it, we jump into the water to snorkel on a section of the barrier reef system, home to thousands of aquatic species. Later on, we visit a beautiful sandbank the locals call “nature’s swimming pools”, where we take time to relax & swim. In the town of Punta Allen, located at the tip of the headland overlooking the bay, we have a local lunch and take some time to relax.

Paradise. - A paradise on earth! We were picked up by the guides who had a good introduction to the biodiversity we were going to encounter inside reserves. We heard that they really burned to maintain the nature reserve in its purest form, we were super lucky and saw lots of different animals, both from the boat - but also from the snorkelling tour. Absolutely something you should get with you. It may be good to know that you are driving closer to 40 minutes on a relatively humpy road, but this is not ⁇ problematic

Perfect Day- even with the crocodile - This goes down as one of the best days in our traveling life. The friendly guides and driver picked us up right on time, then a couple more stops for a total of just 10 guests on our excursion. We had a pleasant though bumpy dirt road drive through Tulum and into the biospere. After parking we split the group to assign one guide to each boat, then walked to the boat dock. After 10 days of heavy rains, the path and part of the dock were underwater. To get to the boats, we had to walk (slowly and quietly!) past a large crocodile that had chosen that spot to lounge. Animals are not to be disturbed in the Biosphere, and the expert guides were not concerned for our safety, so we just had to go around. Some of us, myself included, had to have the guides hold our hands. :). Our boat captain piloted us through the mangroves, river, and bay for several hours, eventually into the open ocean with our guide Lea explaining the geography and plant and animal life around us. We saw countless birds of prey, encountered dolphins frolicking, and ran alongside sea turtles. I felt like a little kid gasping and grinning at everything. I wish I could describe it better, but nah, you need to just go. After a luxurious swim in a sheltered lagoon, we beached the boat in Punta Allen, a small and very rustic fishing village for the included lunch. The yucatan-style roasted fish I had was delicious. There's nothing to do in Punta Allen really besides enjoying lunch and stretching your legs a bit before getting back in the boat. Our captain generously offered to take extra time on the return to revisit a cenote outlet and try again to spot manatee we missed in the morning. They are hard to see in the murky water, but I did spot a manatee coming up for air for just a few seconds and once again I squealed like a little kid. The entire day was a sheer joy. Thank you Lea, Maca, and Axel for making such great memories for us. I know you aren't getting rich doing it, but it's obvious you love your jobs and I hope you know how much we loved our day with you all. If you need one more thing to convince you, the granola bars Lea brought from a German bakery for our afternoon snack were almost reason alone to go.

Go to Sian Ka’an! - From the easy pick up (outside the hotel zone for no additional cost) in their air conditioned van, to the incredibly knowledgeable tour guide, Macarena, we had an absolutely amazing experience! Snacks, a water bottle to borrow (stupidly forgot mine) and a delicious sit down lunch were provided to make sure the guests were comfortable. Macarena’s knowledge of the wildlife and Captain Johnny’s eagle eye to spot wildlife were a dynamic combo. The time with dolphins was definitely a standout! Highly recommend this tour!

Sian Ka'an Couples' Aventure - Riviera Maya 05.07.2024 - From administrative to logistics, the group providing us this full day excursion was caring, courteous, informative, energetic and fun. Niko and Jessica were incredible. Claudia and I were in a group of 12 separated into two boats each with six. Both boats had a captain and guide (our guide was Niko) who answered all our questions, were inviting and encouraged participation. The interplay between the two boats was fun and made time pass by efficiently. We appreciated the passion of both Niko and Jessica two wonderful guides. Both were eager to ensure that we experienced a wide array of the natural habitat and wildlife (e.g., turtles, dolphins [we even saw several playing with their meal - medium size fish in the ocean], manatees, number of varieties of birds, etc.). Thank you for an amazing time. We look forward to our next adventure with you.

Beautiful day in Sian Ka'an - After the many reviews on visits to Sian Ka'an we were quite perplexed but in the end a local guide recommended this agency to us. Short and feasible bus trip (we had read that the road was impossible to travel), boarding almost at the beginning of the Biosphere, complete tour of the lagoon with sightings of manatees, dolphins, turtles, crocodiles. Amazing finale in Punta Allen, a remote place of sand, fish and siesta, where time seems to have stopped. Luigi very good and patient.

Adventure to Sian Ka’an - Maca and Marco were fantastic guides. They explained the tour very well and provided good background on the Sian Ka’an region and the sea life and animals of the region. The bus was a bit bumpy but was part of the adventure as was the boat ride zooming over the ocean waves. We slowed down to observe the dolphins playing in the water and the crocodiles lurking in the mangroves. Saw turtles from the boats and had a good snorkel in the reef. Unfortunately the reef is suffering from bleaching but not the tour guide’s fault. We had a serene swim in crystal clear water and a delicious lunch at a secluded spot in Punta Allen. Felt like being on a deserted island. All in all a very memorable and special day in a vast and natural landscape.

10/10 Highly Recommend! - Jessica and Maca were both exceptional in their knowledge of the biosphere. Transportation arrived at our hotel at the time expected. Our tour was hybrid language and Jessica did an excellent job switching back and forth between the 2 languages (French and English). Our boat captain also did a great job in controlling the boat, helping to locate different animals and guiding our snorkeling adventure. Please note: you only snorkel if the water isn’t too choppy. We got to do it because the water was calm that day. Food in Punta Allen was good too!

Wonderful experience immersed in nature - Magnificent day in the company of our guides, Nikita and Martin, who showed us the wonders of this corner of Mexico. We spotted crocodiles, dolphins, turtles, rays, pelicans, frigate birds, herons and a host of other birds. It was not possible to snorkel due to sea conditions, but this did not detract from the beauty of the day. Excellent lunch in Punta Allen, where we also had free time to explore the beach and the village. Thanks to the preparation of Nikita and Martin, we had a wonderful day learning many things about the Sian Ka'an reserve. Special thanks also to Axel, our driver, who was punctual and impeccable.
