Highlights
  • Sian Ka’an - After passing the entrance to the Sian Ka’ an Biosphere, the guide will give an introductory tour on the biosphere. After driving for another 30 to 40 minutes on an unpaved BUMPY ROAD (this is an adventure!) you will board a boat in order to explore the coastal lagoons and marine ecosystems that characterize Sian Ka’an, and discover the fauna and flora that lies within it.
IF the weather allows it, we jump into the water to snorkel on a section of the barrier reef system, home to thousands of aquatic species. Later on, we visit a beautiful sandbank the locals call “nature’s swimming pools”, where we take time to relax & swim. In the town of Punta Allen, located at the tip of the headland overlooking the bay, we have a local lunch and take some time to relax.

The package comprises transport from Tulum, lunch in Punta Allen and snorkeling gear. The snorkeling excursion is contingent on the ocean conditions, which can sadly not always be predicted until we arrive at the sea. Great day! - Excellent day out - all staff were very friendly and the guides Cris and Lea were vey knowledgeable. Our speedboat captain was obviously very experienced as we managed to find all of the wildlife we came to see - crocodiles, dolphins, turtles, manatees. Dinner was fantastic, we had the Yucatan chicken and cannot fault it. The beach at Punta Allen is stunning. Would highly recommend this trip. Would recommend taking a long sleeve t-shirt and hat to wear throughout the day as the sun will be on you even though the boat has a shelter.

Fun day on the waters of Sian Ka’an - I greatly enjoyed my tour with Pablo and the México Kan team. Pablo was full of great information and was able to provide insights on both culture and nature. It was also relaxing to be out on the water and try to spot the different animals. We didn’t see manatees, but we caught a rare glimpse of flamingos, along with a pod of dolphins and lots of different birds. Swimming in the crystal blue water was a real treat. I also appreciated the door-to-door pick up, and the lunch was delicious.

Recommended! - This tour is highly recommended if you are going to Mexico near Tulum/Playa Del Carmen. The good reviews don't lie. For a fee we were picked up in Playa Del Carmen. It was a long drive from here, think about 2 hours. From Tulum it's not too bad. The atmosphere was nice and chill. We were in total with 6 and + our Guide Pablo and the captain of the boat. We started in the mangroves and eventually sailed to the sea. So the water changes from green to turquoise blue. We've seen more animals than we expected. We have seen flamingos, dolphins, a crocodile, turtles and several species of birds. The captain is going to sail pretty close to the animals so you can see them super well without bothering them. The manatees have not shown themselves. Unfortunately it was not possible to snorkel above the reef due to the somewhat turbulent sea. We had quickly forgotten this when we were allowed to make a splash in a shallow crystal clear piece of water. After this we went for lunch and sailed back towards the mangroves and the mainland. Our Guide Pablo was super enthusiastic and told us a lot about nature and the animals. His enthusiasm makes it fun to listen to and you can see from this that it really is his passion. We give the tour a 10 and Pablo too! ¡Muchas gracias!

Beautiful eco-friendly tour to observe the wildlife of the area! - Beautiful tour with Lea, Jaime and Ernesto who were all attentive and considerate: we were able to observe the fauna and flora of the reserve responsibly, observe the coral reef and its occupants with mask and snorkel and the meal was very good. Lea's explanations were very interesting. She was as patient as she was cheerful. This is by far the best organized tour I've ever done in Mexico. If you love wild local flora and fauna, it’s well worth it!

An unforgettable tour - Excellent tour and magnificent work of Pablo, our Guide and also the driver and captain of the boat, with the very trained eye to detect the presence of the local fauna. The Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reservation is simply spectacular: we saw all kinds of birds, crocodiles, manatees, dolphins... The snorkel was Top: turtles, barracudas, sharks, locusts... It really is Top-rated tours in the area.

The tour you must do in Mexico! - The trip was absolutely amazing! Our guide Pedro was so well educated in the area, the biosphere and it's inhabitants (the animals). On top of that, he is a really warm and fun guy, ehich made the trip even better. We were picked up at the entrance of Tulum National Park, as we stayd at a hotel inside of the park. From there, we and a family of four went with minibus to Emilys secret paradise (with a quick snack stop at a 7-eleven, at the beginning of the ride). Dueing the ride, we got to know more about the park and the biotope, which was super interesting. Arriving at Emily's, we put sunscreen on for the last time, went to the bathroom, and changed to clothing for the boat ride (for me, swimtrunks, hat, sunglasses and a long sleeved shirt for the sun). After this quick stop, we walked to the boat and the the adventure was on. We were really lucky and saw a giant crocodile, a manatee, lots of birds, and, in the end of the day, dolphines - a family of four. In the middle of trip, we went snorkeling at the reef, when we saw turtles, a giant lobster, a large barracuda, multiple fishes and a shark. After this, we went swimming near a beach without our life vests and with incredible blue water - very social media friendly. After the two swims, we drowe 5 min to Punta Allen and had a lovely lunch. Me and my wife also bought a quick iced coffee in one of the local shops, before heading back to were we started. We were picked up in Tulum and arrived back again at 16:30. We strongly reccomend this adventure and this tour guide (Pedro). Hopefully we get to come back to Tulum in the future to do other tours with this great team.

An amazing experience !! - This was an unbelievable experience!! Our guide Pedro was AMAZING, so funny and so knowledgeable about the animals and the area. We were able to see so much incredible wildlife up close, for example manatees, crocodiles and dolphins (even a baby dolphin)! Also - the snorkelling was breathtaking! We went out to a reef where there was no other boats and thanks to the captain we were able to swim with so many beautiful fishes, turtles and even a shark! I would deeply recommend this to anyone wanting a memory for life :)

Great experience in Sian Ka’an - The Sian Ka’an Reservation is a wonderful place. Thanks to Cristina, the Guide, and Captain Jaime we could see in their natural habitat manatees, dolphins, crocodiles, rays, cat sharks, frigates, pelicans... Cristina gave us an exquisite treatment, especially to our children, demonstrating a lot of knowledge and love for nature. The advice of Ernesto, the driver, was also very valuable. The food in Punta Allen very good in a fantastic place. Thank you so much!
