Beautiful day trip with many different sights - We had a lovely day with Dimitri who took us to the monastery complex of David Gareja at the border to Azerbaijan. Even though we couldn’t see the main caves due to a conflict at the border the landscape and monasteries are worth seeing. Dimitri gave us interesting insights into the Georgian culture of today and the past. We had an excellent lunch and wine tasting in Signagi after a nice stroll through this small town. When looking for souvenirs we met a lovely lady who proudly showed us her picture in an issue of the National Geographic.

Outstanding views - A fantastic day with a really nice guide. We were pick-uped at hotel in the morning and spend almost 12 hour with our lovely guide Dido. He is a exellent driver and you can feel comfortable in the somtimes hysteric traffic. The landscape outside Tblisi is so beautiful and the view over the valley round Davidgareja is really amazing! We learned alot of geogian History. We walked for about 2 hours with amazing views everywhere. The village Signagi looks like a fairytail town. So beautiful with the mouintains in the background. We also visit a nice monastry. A fantastic day with a fantastic guide! We are so happy for this experince!

David Gareja was excellent !! Guide... -
David Gareja was excellent !! Guide Dimitri from Trek Georgia was very very amicable, and warm without being intrusive, which I really liked. The 2-hour hike up the 750 meter mountain to see the caves and frescoes on the 6th-century monastery was worth it. Please be prepared for the expedition.

Signagi is GORGEOUS. I plan to spend a night there next time !!!
