- Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace - You will get picked up from your hotel in the city center. Accompanied by your guide, drive to Monsoon Palace. Named after Maharana Sajjan Singh, the Monsoon Palace is also known as Sajjan Garh Palace. Built on a hill top, the Monsoon Palace offers fantastic views of Udaipur, which had risen to prominence under the rule of Maharana Sajjan Singh. The palace was planned to be a nine-storied astronomical observatory which would record the arrival of monsoons by keeping track of the monsoon clouds. Unfortunately due to the untimely death of Maharana Sajjan Singh, the plan of construction was shifted over to his successor Maharana Fateh Singh, who also constructed a lake which he named Fateh Sagar Lake. Enjoy the palace, its unique location and views.

Named in honor of Maharana Sajjan Singh, who held power from 1874 until his untimely demise in 1884 and was a key figure in the Mewar Dynasty. The palace is renowned for the breathtaking panoramic views it offers of Udaipur’s lakes, other palaces, and the encompassing landscapes. The palace’s conception was mainly to observe the monsoon clouds, earning it the widely-used name, Monsoon Palace. The sceneries from this palace are alone worthy of the trip.
