Construction took place between 1727- 1736. The Monastery was able to save its’ most part from communist destruction and today only 28 temples remain. Additional Information

Without a doubt, Mongolia is a land that reveres horses. These magnificent animals have always been closely intertwined with the lifestyle, cultural practices, and historical narrative of the nomadic Mongolians. Consider this; it was atop these sturdy animals that Chinggis Khaan led his conquests, claiming half of the globe. This makes Mongolia an idyllic destination for dedicated horse riders and equine enthusiasts. On this journey, expect plentiful horseback riding starting from the shores of Khuvsgul Lake penetrating deep into the Taiga, the domicile of reindeer herders. While the trails commence as moderate, they progressively become more demanding and exhilarating towards the remote north. Indulge in the untouched wilderness, breathtaking scenery and immerse yourself in the affluent history and culture of the locals.
