A must do, if you are in Mongolia - Went with friends to the Chinggis Statue. Truly amazing. If ghouls want to climb to the top beware, it is a very narrow staircase , and when passing people coming the other direction, they invade your private space as they try to squeeze past. Still they view is spectacular and the experience amazing.

The Great Khan and the Mountain Resort - The day trip to the Chinggis Khan statue and the Terej National Park is definitely a tour not to be missed. The towering statue of the great khan is located in Tsonjin Boldog, east of Ulaanbaatar. The complex is located within the area of Chinggis Khan's birthplace. There is a nearby statue of his mother as well. The stainless steel representation of the father of Mongolia dominates the complex and the entire surrounding area. At the top of the statue, you can enjoy the breath taking views of the gentle snowcapped hills and plains. At the basement of the complex, there is an excellent exhibition of Mongolian history and display of ancient artifacts. The complex has a coffee shop where you can rest for some refreshments. And there are souvenir shops as well. Please note that there is an elevator available but it only goes to the third floor. From the third floor you still have to climb more stairs to reach the top of the statue. It is advised to wear comfortable shoes and if its the winter season, warm winter clothing is highly recommended. The entrance fee to this complex is MNT 20 000 and there is an English speaking guide available. The Terej National Park is a beautiful mountain resort area, with a wide range of hotel resorts, lodges and hotels. Turtle Rock is one of the main attractions. If you would like the experience of camel riding and horse riding, there are guides available. Overall an exciting tour and one that is definitely recommended to all first time visitors to Ulaanbaatar.

I did not go to this trip because of absence of tour operator - Unfortunately, I did not go to this trip because I could not contact the tour operator at all. I had been calling his phone number but only receiving the message stating the phone power is off. I messaged him via website but got no reply. I waited for him at the guesthouse I chose on the list and he had never shown up. I tried to call Tripadvisor but got voice message stating the number is not in use. This online reservation is unreliable. Now, I want to have my refund.

A very unreliable service operator - I would like to share my terrible experience in shopping with Batmunkh Batkhuyag for a daytrip to Chinggis statue &Terelj National park on 10.7.2019. I fully paid the trip and got a confirmation ticket from Tripadvisor on 8.7.2019 night. There is no departure time indicated in the ticket and the booking details in my account. I called Batmunkh Batkhuyag several times on 9.7.2019 for the details such as the name and contact information of my guide and when he/she would come to my hotel . No one answerd the calls. I wrote him message through the 'converstaion withoperator' column in my booking account. I got no message. I waited in my hotel for the whole morning on 10.7.2019 and kept on calling Batmunkh Batkhuyag. No one answered the calls again. I wrote him message. Again, there was no reply at all. I called him again on 1.7.2019 to follow up his failure to provide the service I booked and paid. My contacting efforts failed again. It distressed me and affected my origin plan of activities in Ulaanbaatar. I am still very very frustrated about what happened. Dear staffs of tripadvisor, I really hope you to investigate the situation and consider if your company would continue to include Batmunkh Batkhuyag as a partner or owner. I dearly hope you could contact me for a refund of the service that I did not get, as well as a compensation for the distress, frustration and huge inconvenience caused for the situation. You can find my email address according to my booking record.
