The main temple of the monastery features a statue of Migjid Janraisig, a bodhisattva associated with compassion, which is over 20 meters tall and covered in gold. The temple also features many other Buddhist artworks and relics, including intricate carvings and wall paintings.

In addition to the main temple, the monastery complex includes several smaller temples and buildings, as well as a library containing Buddhist texts and artifacts. Visitors can also witness daily religious ceremonies and see the monks engaged in their daily activities.

 • Zanabazar Museum of FIne Art - The Fine Arts Zanabazar Museum is an art museum located in Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia, and founded in 1966. It exhibits collections of Mongolian masters of fine arts from the 18th to the 20th century and works in cooperation with the UNESCO for improving the presentation of its collections.
 • Bogd Khaan Palace Museum of Mongolia - The Bogd Khan Palace Museum is a historical museum located in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. The museum is housed in the former residence of the Bogd Khan, the last emperor of Mongolia, and is one of the few surviving examples of traditional Mongolian architecture in the city.

The palace complex includes several buildings and structures, including the main palace building, which features a collection of the Bogd Khan’s personal belongings, as well as displays on Mongolian history, art, and culture. Visitors can see the emperor’s throne, traditional costumes, musical instruments, and religious artifacts, among other items.

The Bogd Khan Palace Museum is an important cultural site in Mongolia and provides a unique glimpse into the country’s rich history and traditions. It is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Mongolian history, art, and culture.

Beyond its historical significance, the site is celebrated for its scenic beauty, providing a serene vantage point where visitors can enjoy sweeping vistas of the Mongolian capital. The memorial itself, marked by a distinctive mural, becomes a backdrop to the expansive landscape that stretches out below, making it a popular spot for both reflection and appreciation of the natural and urban scenery.
 • Naran Tuul Market - Narantuul Market, often referred to as the Black Market of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, is one of the largest and most famous open-air markets in the country. Despite its nickname, it’s not a market for illegal goods; instead, the name stems from its comprehensive and somewhat chaotic nature, offering a vast array of goods. Here, visitors can find everything from traditional Mongolian clothing, such as deels (Mongolian robes), to furniture, household items, antiques, and much more. It’s a bustling hub of activity where locals and tourists alike can immerse themselves in the vibrant local culture, haggle over prices, and discover unique items. The market is also a testament to Mongolia’s rich nomadic traditions and modern lifestyle, making it an essential visit for anyone wanting to experience the authentic essence of Ulaanbaatar.
 • Chinggis Khaan National Museum - The Chinggis Khaan Museum offers a fascinating journey through the life and times of Mongolia’s legendary leader. Just GREAT! - My tour guide Yogi was excellent. His English is a step above other tour non-native English speaking guides I've worked with. He was friendly, enthusiastic, and willing to adjust the tour to my personal interests. The itinerary was efficient, we hit on all the major spots I wanted to see. The stop at the monastery was informative for someone who knows very little about Buddhism (and Mongolia's history with it). The black market was really interesting and we spent the perfect amount of time exploring it. Highlight locations were the city lookout point and the museum. (Most skippable was the winter palace. Not entirely uninteresting, but not the most engaging.) The real highlight though was the opportunity to have in depth conversations in English with someone born and raised in Mongolia about every topic from politics to history to what life is like for the average Mongolian. Can't recommend Yogi enough! All around fantastic experience, perfect comprehensive introduction to this fascinating country!

Our guide was a great English speaker, articulate and knowledgeable and able to share many insights he had into his homeland, as he himself had travelled. Enerel, our guide. was very willing to adapt to our needs and altered lunchtime as part of that. This trip set us up for our own exploration of the city and is really worthwhile.

I had a few ideas in mind about what I wanted to see, and, after submitting them to the tour company, our guide put together a nice itinerary that included a visit to the Ger District, Sukhbator Central Square, the National History Museum, Zaisun Memorial, Golbi Factory Outlet and the Black Market. Plus we had a nice dumpling lunch too! Our guide was informative, patient and spoke excellent English. She even helped my girlfriend pick out a Cashmere sweater at the Golbi Outlet, which was much appreciated!
