Amazing day out in the national park - I have visited the city a few times but have never had a chance to explore the countryside until this tour. This tour was a perfect one-day adventure to see some highlights and I thoroughly recommend it. The scenery in the summer is beautiful! my guide Red was very friendly and attentive and spoke great English (as well as several other languages), providing stories and information throughout the day. Because it was a very small group there was some flexibility in the itinerary, and I think we did more than the listing mentions. We visited Turtle rock, walked up to the Aryapala meditation temple, and went to the Chinggis statue, as well as the main event, horseback riding. The horseback part started in a stunning river valley with a traditional oxen cart ride. I was paired with a chill horse that fit my complete newbie abilities, and away we went! The scenery was just glorious, and we took a slow and steady pace up the hills and across the streams. I even got to attempt a faster pace on the flat grasslands. Lunch was a tasty tsiuvan (stir fry noodles) - which I chose from a few traditional options offered. Finished the day tired but happy, thank you Rara Avis! Extra info: We traveled in a comfortable Prius, and they were happy to drop me directly at my hotel at the end of the day, as well as offering strategic coffee/restroom stops during the trip. Traffic is always a factor in UB, but it was pretty good on a weekend with the 8 am start.

Best 1 day tour - I did not have much time in Ulaanbaatar and that tour gave me the chance to experience some of the highlights in 1 day. Horse riding was something to remember and also the statue complex of Chinggis Khan is a must see when in Mongolia. Not any other package offered that in 1 day. Lunch was also tasty in a very local, truly Mongolian restaurant. Bayar's speaks English like a native speaker and at the end of the tour I forgot that I had booked a tour with a company. I thought that I was out in the countryside with a friend.

Interesting experience - This horseback riding trip was incredible! The company was super professional - they picked us up right on time, and our guide was incredibly helpful. Communication can be tricky in Mongolia sometimes, but luckily our guide spoke perfect English, which was a huge relief. On these types of trips, clear communication is key – a language barrier could have been a real challenge. The Mongolian wilderness is unlike anything I've ever seen. The scenery during the horseback ride was absolutely breathtaking. Even if you're a beginner rider, there's no need to worry. They made sure everyone felt comfortable and matched each person with a horse based on their experience level.

If you want to go horse riding in Mongolia, come to Teleji Park - First of all, the driver and tour guide are very kind. When driving, they pay special attention to potholes in the ground and will not speed up to overtake. This is a big advantage in Mongolia, where the traffic is chaotic. The tour guide spoke very good English and knew the history of Mongolia quite well. Then after arriving at Teleji Park, the whole horse riding experience was perfect, and the traditional Mongolian food on the way was also quite good. In addition, the scenery in the national park is unimaginable, very beautiful and stunning. Overall, it was an experience worth remembering and revisiting!

Splendid day on horseback - This was a fantastic day-trip from Ulaanbaatar. The guide met us on time in the hotel lobby and he spoke excellent English. The first part of the trip was very bumpy due to road construction, but then it got better. We did a quick stop at the impressive Genghis Khan statue, but the main event was the horseback riding in Terelj National Park. We enjoy a full three hours with the horses in magnificent nature, and then we were served lunch by the horse owner’s wife, in a traditional ger. So enjoyable, so well organised, so beautiful. Highly recommended!

Totally amazing - This trip was totally amazing. beautiful scenery, wonderful guides, great food and full of lots off active adventures. I don't have enough good things to say about this tour. Well organized, educational and most of all, fun! We don't usually take tours, but this one made us feel like we hit the jackpot. Excellent!”
Orgilbaatar is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!) Orgilbaatar was always ready with his narration of the history of the land and people. He paid such good attention and made sure we were taken care of.

Very satisfied day trip - Tour guide picked up at the hotel on time and he can speak very good English. In additional to the horse riding, the trip includes visit Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue and lunch. The lunch is in a yurt of the horse family. It is very good local food which is much better than the hotel food. Since I am Chinese, I like the food so much. After lunch is the horse riding. It last about two hours. The couple from the horse family and the tour guide leads us (3 people). It is fun and enjoyable. The only thing not so good is it is quite windy and quite cold in early Oct. It will be much better in summer time.

A good day trip from Ulaanbaatar - This was a great way to see a small piece of Mongolian countryside when I only had one site-seeing day in Ulaanbaatar. The tour was efficiently run and hosted by an exceptionally warm, interesting and hospitable young woman, Tunya. If you are unfamiliar with horse riding the guides are very patient and thoughtful - although it is tough on your body if you're not used to it. One limitation was the lack of prior information and planning about what you should wear / take with you - so some tips: - Horses don't like 'flappy' clothes so don't rely on having too many loose items on - It's not advised to wear a backpack while riding so be sure to have something on with pockets to carry your camera etc - Helmets are not included in this tour, so if that's something important to you, perhaps contact the organisers in advance - You are riding for a good 2-3 hours so be sure to carry sunscreen / hat / light neck scarf etc with you - There are a lot of horse flies that follow you, so some insect repellent spray might be handy if you happen to be travelling with some Overall a great experience with lovely guides.

No Show - The tour operator never showed up and I am still waiting for my refund. The number I called on my ticket to find out when they were arriving was out of service.
