K’GARI 2-DAY TOUR - From 1st June 2021, this new tour represents the BEST VALUE experience on Fraser Island in 2021! Focused on increased guest comfort, tours include small group experiences (maximum 30 guests) and upgraded accommodation to Standard Hotel Rooms at K’gari Beach Resort. PLUS uncover hidden gems such as Hammertone Sandblow, Lake Wabby and the Champagne Pools.
- This tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair
- Please bring zinc sunscreen, hat and swimwear
- Audio guides and scripts are available in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Chinese via the K’gari Explorer Tours App.
- Your accommodation will require a credit card pre-authorisation of AU$100 per day plus AU$200 refundable bond to a maximum of AU$500. In the event that no credit card is available, full payment and a bond deposit of AU$100 per day to a maximum of AU$500 is required.
- Recommended for guests to bring their own front-facing infant seats. Limited child seats are available at an additional charge on request.
- Please note we do not carry children under the age of 1 and no refund will be given.
- Please note that Queensland law requires all guests travelling on our coaches to wear seat belts at all times, failure to do so could result in a Queensland Government fine.
- This tour has separate departure locations depending on whether you are staying in Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach. Please make sure you book the correct departure location. If you are staying in Hervey Bay, select pick up from Buccaneer Drive. If you are staying in Rainbow Beach, select pick up from Rainbow Beach Road.
- The commencement of hotel pickups is approximately 2 hours prior to the departure time of the tour, you must make telephone contact with the local service provider to book the pickup and verify the exactness of your pickup time, this must be done at least 48hrs prior to the departure.

Amazing experience, stunning scenery… - Enjoyed every moment of this tour. It was well paced with plenty of time to enjoy all the attractions. Our guide David was fun, friendly and informative. There were a variety of different activities, bush walks, swimming in both salt and fresh water, walking massive sand dunes and generally taking in all that nature has to offer.
Everything ran very smoothly, we were kept informed of all the activities we would be undertaking and how long we would have at each destination. Every staff member we encountered was courteous and helpful.
The optional flight from the beach, which we weren’t originally going to do, turned out to be a highlight and I would thoroughly recommend.
I would say the only thing that was somewhat of a let down was some of the food. I was really looking forward to the picnic on the second day but it turned out to be a pre made salad roll and juice, a bit lacking in imagination.

Great value and well organised tour - Great experience, the tour sites were varied and some involved walks of 1 - 5 km return.
Dingos along the coast and whales off the coast were spotted.
David our guide was fantastic and participated in all activities and joined us for dinner as well

Amazing K’gari - A fantastic two day tour of this amazing island. Jean, our guide, was very engaging and informative. He made the tour a special experience for all of us and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this experience to anyone.

Wonderful! - Would recommend this unreservedly! Every aspect of the trip ran smoothly from booking to set down at the Marina at the end of the trip. Driving along the spectacular 75 mile beach was unforgettable and the tour took in all the sites. We spent the right amount of time at each place to really explore and enjoy it. Our guide and driver Blair was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. He thoughtfully suggested return trip to Eli creek on the second day when it was sunnier and people could really enjoy floating down. Another highlight was finding a plane waiting on the beach to take those that wanted to on a stunning 15 minute flight across the sea and inland K’gari. A never to be forgotten trip - just wonderful.

Great trip - A fantastic 2 day tour - K’gari is spectacular and the tour guides made the trip extra special.
Keith drove us over from Rainbow Beach and then Andrew took us on the 2 day tour - both guides were very personable, had great knowledge of the island and made sure we had a great time.
Good value for money, accommodation and food were good. Would definitely recommend.

Great way to see K'Gari - Very enjoyable trip with a good guide (David) who went out of his way to make everyone comfortable and provided lots of information about the island and the places we visited.
Saw lots of the famous K'gari dingoes and the trip met all my expectations.

Just fantastic - Our 2 days at K'gari were amazing! We've got to see so many beautiful spots. Our guide Kurt was fantastic. He was very passionate about teaching us all the things we wanted to know about the island, trees and animals. The ride in the bus on the beach was also a really great experience. A visit to paradise in 2 days - Kˋgari! - From Rainbow Beach we went on a 2 day tour to Fraser Island which started perfectly on time and directly from our Hotel (Debbie’s Place). Keith welcomed us very warmly on his Bus and made the journey very pleasant by sharing good information with an excellent sense of humor and by playing very nice and cool music.
After a good coffee at the Beach Resort we went to Lake McKenzie where the 2-day tour guests changed bus - which gave an extra hour for swimming in the clear waters of the lake - absolutely beautiful. Our new guide Dave was also an absolute stunning source of information. On our way to the different spots we learned a lot about the island, the history and the wildlife. Despite the rainy weather on day one we could really see all highlights and day 2 with much more sunshine was absolutely fantastic.
Our personal favorite of all was the scenic flight with Air Fraser - a 15 Min hop over the island with take off and landing directly on the beach - unforgettable!
The whole trip was very well organized, the guides were true professionals, keeping us on plan throughout the 2 days. Thanks Dave for all the information, and thanks Keith for the short 2 entertaining transfers from and to Rainbow beach.

Definitely worth doing - The tour organisation was excellent; pickup, ferry, 4WD bus on K'gari, meals, stops, information, swims, the drives ... all wonderful. There are a lot of elements that go to make this tour, and most worked really well. Maybe make it clearer that the walk into Lake Wabby is not just 5km round trip, taking about 35 minutes each way, but that it's a sometimes steep walk - testing the fitness of most older people at least. There's no doubt that the island is unique and amazing.
