Highly recommneded tour - Since we were the only tourists (late April is not a high tourist season) it was more a private tour rather than a small group tour. As expected wooden churches looked nice outside and had impressive naive paintings inside. Unexpected were beautifully carved gates and barn doors in the local village. Traveling on Sunday had its own benefits: we were lucky to see local people attending Orthodox church dressed in their traditional clothes (flowery short skirts, furry vests and high heels - that was quite a view). Add sunny day, numerous blossoming cherry trees, tasty lunch, knowledgeable guide and quite good roads and You have a perfect one (long) day tour.

Outstanding day trip to Maramures - Outstanding day tour showcasing the highlights of Maramures, lead by Josif who has a masterful command of French/English and is evidently proficient in many more languages. Service was outstanding right from the beginning with very prompt communication from the Tour agency. Service was simply perfect all day, with a passionate guide who gladly shares his wealth of knowledge about the local culture and history. There were several fascinating stops on the way to visit traditional houses and meet local craftspeople. We were served a scrumptious organic home cooked lunch in an eco lodge. I wish I had more tours to book in the region with such a guide. Josif is totally service oriented, never rushed us and made sure we were comfortable at all times. I rarely book tours, as I try to discover countries independently, but for the individual traveller relying normally on public transportation , there is no better way to discover Maramures. I could have rented a car, but would have then missed out on a bounty of information and the exceptional opportunity to connect with local people. Highest recommendation to Getaclujtour.

Personal tours and flexible to suit your taste - We took three separate tours in Romania; to Maramares with Geta, to Sibiu and Astra with Josef and finally with a groups of friends to the salt mine with Josef. Both of you were extremely friendly, informative, excellent drivers and helpful. You were prompt in the pick up and it was great to be picked up at the hotel and yet dropped in Cluj (at our request). We were so pleased with our visit to Romania and mainly because you helped us to explore such fascinating places. I received support before travelling via FaceBook and the exchanges were speedy as well as helpful in choosing locations. Thank you for everything and when we return I'd love you to take us to Moldova and the monasteries - you've whetted our appetites!
