- Hillsboro - Originally called The Gap, this town is a well-preserved example of a typical 19th-century linear community that developed along a minor trade route linking Leesburg with Charles Town (now in West Virginia) in the early 19th century.
- Hillsborough Vineyards - Located on Short Hill Mountain, on land once owned by George William, a close childhood friend of President George Washington, this award-winning winery has been owned by the Baki family since 2001. The family also runs a brewery, and the vineyard spans 36 acres divided into three fields of vines.
- Breaux Vineyards - Situated on Short Hill Mountain, this Cajun-themed and operated winery and vineyard was established by E. Paul Breaux, Jr. in 1997. The 100% estate-grown winery has over 104 acres planted with 18 different grape varieties and was one of three U.S. wineries (and the only one in Virginia) featured in Oz Clark’s book “250 Best Wines 2012.”
- Bozzo Family Vineyards - A family-owned farm winery producing small batches of award-winning wines, with a simple yet elegant tasting room and a small deck offering views of a beautiful mountain setting.
