- 735 Lafayette St - In this engaging three and a half hour class, you’ll build a custom cedar and pine birdhouse (11.75” x 9” x 7”) with personalized instruction, limited to six participants. Gain hands-on experience with essential woodworking tools and techniques while creating a birdhouse with a 1.5-inch entrance hole, perfect for attracting Pennsylvania birds like Eastern Bluebirds, House Wrens, Chickadees, and more.
You’ll design a custom backplate for easy wall or tree mounting, allowing the birdhouse to slide off for simple cleaning. Safety glasses, ear protection, and other protective wear will be provided to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Each participant will be required to sign a waiver before starting the class.

In our unique woodcraft class, you’ll gain hands-on experience with a variety of essential woodworking tools and techniques. Begin by learning precise cutting with the band saw and drilling perfect holes using the drill press. Next, you’ll use the router table to create smooth edges and gain confidence with quick assembly using nail guns. Achieving a smooth finish will be a breeze with the orbital sanders, and you’ll practice making clean joints with mitre folds. Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to customize your birdhouse with paint and stains, adding a personal touch to your project.
