Book here! Lucky to have the experience! Great tour guides! - We were so lucky with great tour guides! The wildlife was absolutely amazing. We were able to see a bald eagle and about 20 ponies so close that we could pet them from the kayak (we would not pet them as we respect nature.) To add our tour guides were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Only bad part was the wild, it made some spots really hard to paddle. I would recommend looking at the wind for the day you plan to book. especially if you are a first time kayaker or older in age. Overall the experience was so lucky that the wildlife was in just the right spots and we are beyond thankful for the experience!!

Excellent! Worth the trip to the island. Guides were all great and informative. Don’t skip this tour. Good for all ages. - Amazing! Enjoyed the tour from start to finish. Seen ponies, babies, and bald eagles. Both kids loved it as well. We do again next time we come back.

Incredible Experience - Best part was seeing the horses up close!! The pictures on the brochure, I heard are miss leading. But, we were very fortunate to get that close and have that experience with the horses. But, dont expect that. They are wild, you can't control where they are Remember, go close to high tide as possible, otherwise the water will be shallow to get into the channels. Plus the tour guide, he really went all out to make our experience incredible. He was very nice, funny, told us exactly what to do And had great stories. He truly lives for his job. Plus, he towed the one kid across when he couldn't make it against the current. I'm telling you the 5pm tour guide, we had really makes the whole experience incredible. Highly recommend!

Worth every penny! - We were able to see the ponies! Even more than that it is beautiful and peaceful. With that said we had a windy day but Tom our guide helped by getting us close to shore. Egrets, Blue Heron, ducks and little crabs were also present.

Horses are beautiful and tour guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable - We got up close and personal with a whole group of 12 horses including several ponies. Wonderful experience! Ours and several other kayaks had low backs on chairs. Should update kayaks so all have high backs for comfort. Otherwise great experience!

Kayaking Assateague - Our guide, Nate, was fantastic!! He was so friendly and did his very best to accommodate us. We had a great morning and a slow, easy paddle. But unfortunately, the departure was at low tide and there was no way for us to access the ponies. It was disappointing, so be prepared that it could happen— or just to check the local tide schedule before you book. We did get close to Assateague Lighthouse and a brown pelican.

Pass - The kayaking was fun but next time I’ll do it on our own. The guides either didn’t say a thing or gave a quick 5 minute story and then nothing. I might as well have done it alone. The guy admitted it was only his second week. He didn’t impart any stories or knowledge. He even ignored the group until it was time to go and then said .. you guys here for the trip? Not worth it.

Nice to be out in nature. - I love kayaking. So, the kayaking is what was on my list of importance. The tour guide was nice and knowledgeable. First timers would have a very difficult time. The current was terrible. The time of day to see the horses seemed off. I would think it to be more predictable and I also think that if a grown man couldn't deal w the current, probably should have been notified and given the option to cancel. Or given small outboards. Or made optional to go on the fellow company boat tour. I made the current, but was so far from the horses that it was certainly not fun on that way. Again, I try to hit cool unusual places to kayak on my journeys, so I was ok with it. I'm a skilled kayaker, and by the time we got back, I was ready to be done.
