The excursion starts at the hotel and goes to Mirador Valle Carbajal, where you will be able to appreciate the peat bogs, with an impressive view of the mountain range and the mountain glaciers. You will make a technical stop at a winter center.
Returning to route 3, you will continue the trip reaching the crossing of the Andes mountain range through the Garibaldi pass, the southern and terminal portion of the extensive Andes mountain range.
Towards mid-morning you will arrive at Puesto La Carmen: you will have a hot drink and walk along the shore of Lake Fagnano, also called by the Onas ‘The rest of the horizon’, because the imaginary line of the horizon formed by the mountain range is interrupted by the lake, and then continue on the other side.
Towards noon you will arrive at the Garibaldi pass viewpoint to observe Lago Escondido from above.
You will return to the winter center for lunch and then return to the city of Ushuaia.

The full-day tour to the lakes was a... - <p>The full-day tour to the lakes was a very enjoyable trip. We saw scenery that was quite spectacular and had a wonderful lunch at the Tierra Mayor restaurant. A very pleasant day and many stops along the way.</p>

Highly recommended for those who... - <p>Highly recommended for those who want a high level tour of the two beautiful lakes in Ushuaia! The tour guide was very nice and informative of the history behind the landmarks and we had ample time to take in the view of the lakes. The tour ended with a tasty dinner of lamb.</p>

Getting to know Lake Fagnano and Escondido with food. Very complete. - Almost full day excursion to the Big Island of Tierra del Fuego visiting its forests, Lake Fagnano and Escondido and eating Fuegian lamb and more in a nice restaurant. It is a very interesting excursion and allows you to visit those places. You don't do 4x4 but it's very good. In addition, visits to beavers, and endemic Patagonian and Tierra del Fuego forests. The food is very good, you can eat all you want at the buffet and as much of the excellently done Fuegian lamb as you can. We had a great day.

I liked - I liked the route through the lakes, the night before it snowed in the mountains and the landscape was even more beautiful, the lakes were very beautiful, especially Fagnano, it was brutally windy, but that is normal in the area, then they took us to Eat truly exquisite Patagonian lamb. Worth.

Landscapes - This excursion is recommended if you like landscapes because it is really what this excursion is for, the stops that were made at least in ours were at the Olivia viewpoint, at the Garibaldi pass then on the shore of the hidden lake and From there to Lake Fagnano viewpoint, in our case we did not stop at the preceptura viewpoint but at another one further away that, according to the guide, had better views.

A must but not a whole day trip - This trip had been very well conducted - but started at 9 a.m. and ended at around 3.30 p.m.
Dispite this, the trip is a must and worth it.

Tour guide was a little impersonal... - <p>Tour guide was a little impersonal. The scenery was stunning but perhaps it'd be better to hire a care and do the drive all you need to do is follow highway 3, which is the main road, north of town and you're there. And you can make your own stops along the way. I was a solo traveller on a tour with no one I had anything in common with, so perhaps my opinion is a little jaded by that. Either way, whether you do this tour through Viator, or hire a car and head to the lake by yourself, the scenery is worth it.</p>

Unfortunately the weather was bad... - <p>Unfortunately the weather was bad and cloudy - lake escondido was really well-hidden! Haha <br/>
Nevertheless I would only recommend this tour if you have more difficulty moving around or hate the outdoors (much of it was spent in the van). <br/>
I would recommend some hiking and the 4WD experience instead.</p>

It was really lost time. We drove... - <p>It was really lost time. We drove only the highway to the lake Fagnano and back, 1 hr we spent at the lake in the restaurant and 2 hr in other restaurant for lunch. If you will go to Punta Arenas by bus, you will see the same. Boring tour.</p>
