Highlights
  • Dolphin Tours - Our Combo tour will start after all tour participants have arrived at our office in Uvita, which is also the meeting point. Our certified guide will give you a clear briefing of the tour at the beginning. At our office you can enjoy snacks such as pastries, bananas, coffee and orange juice. A short walk separates us from the beach of the Marino Ballena National Park, where we start our boat tour. Now we begin to discover the area and the animals that live there. We will look out for whales (the chance of seeing them depends on the season), dolphins, various bird species and turtles. Highlights such as The Whale Rock, Playa Ventana with its impressive number of caves and of course the whale tail formation will also be part of this fascinating boat tour. While exploring the national park, you will have the opportunity to swim in the ocean or, depending on the water and weather conditions, snorkel. During the tour you can refresh yourself with fruit and water. After the excursion, you are free to stay in the national park or accompany us back to our office where the tour ends.

Fantastic Whale Watching Tour! - This whale watching tour was absolutely incredible! Our tour guide, Fernando, was a wealth of knowledge about Costa Rica and the marine wildlife. We were lucky enough to witness the rare spectacle of a mother and baby humpback whale breaching, which was simply breathtaking! We also spotted playful dolphins and even a turtle. The spotters were fantastic and made the experience even more enjoyable. If you're considering this tour, ask for Fernando - you won't be disappointed!

Super experience - Fernando, the guide, told a lot about the area and the whales. After not too long sailing we already saw the 1 mother and baby whale.Great to be able to see such a big beast so close. After we also saw dolphins, we spotted another mother with baby whale. These were playing and jumping. Hit the water with the fins. Jump high. Oh, great. Being able to swim along the way and eat tasty melon and pineapple Had a great morning!

Great experience! - So,..... we have seen a whale mother with her little one about half an hour from a good distance, have seen dolphins and even a big turtle! Overall, that's exactly why we booked the tour. Was a nice morning with great pictures. It's a mass event, but still one of the good ones, we've seen worse.

Great sightseeing tour for dolphins - and whales if you are there at the right time of year - An excellent three hour adventure including boarding through the surf from the beach. We were unluckly being in mid-March not to catch the humpback whales who had all migrated to colder water. We did however see spotted and bottlenosed dolphins close up. Water conditions prohibited snorkelling so we swam from Playa Pinuela instead. Two recommendations - take a water proof bag for your cell phone/camera and take it onto the beach. We missed a David Attenborough Planet Earth II moment when two green iguanas came running down the sand and into the sea - one wanted to board the boat. Jennifer was an excellent bilingual guide and naturalist and looked after peoples needs in terms of chilled fruit and water which come as part of the package.

A very nice experience! - Ozzie and his team are truly passionate, delighted to share their interest in the coast and its wildlife. You will have a great time sharing about local history, cetaceans, or any other topic that comes up in the discussion! Obviously, it is nature which will decide if you will see whales and how many, but the crew does everything to make the observation possible and is respectful of the distances and the number of boats so as not to frighten the animals and thus maintain a sustainable future has this type of sea trip

Whales, dolphins, swimming in the sea - We saw whales with a baby, dolphins and pelicans up close. Impressive! Beautiful views of the banks and caves of the national park. Afterwards plenty of time to swim in the open sea for those who want (due to the season with churning water cannot be snorkeled) - you jump out of the boat into the water - is fun. About 20 tourists in one boat plus guide and several accompanying persons.
