Highlights
  • Train Cemetery - Place where we see more than 20 old locomotives and wagons scattered on the icy floor of the altiplano, rusty iron … There the first railway line of the country was laid in 1899, which communicated Uyuni with Antofagasta and which served to transport minerals such as tin, silver and even gold, The potential of the Huanchaca silver mines soon made the railroad a backbone of industrial development.

  • Colchani - The Colchani Village 23 km. de Uyuni is the stopping point especially where we can see the salt factory, salt craft stores and also handicrafts based on llama fiber and alpaca, the perfect place where you can make souvenir purchases from the Uyuni Salt Flat.

  • Salar de Uyuni - We enter the largest salt flat in the world Salar De Uyuni place where we see the piles of salt or the extraction of salt continuing, we visit the Ojos del Salar place where the movement of the waters with emanation of gases is observed, we arrive at the Hotel or museum of Salt Playa Blanca to see the flags of different countries, monument of the Dakar (lunch) we continue to the middle of the Salt flat, perfect place where we take the photos with perspective. (funny photos)

  • Isla Incahuasi - Perfect place where we made a tour for more than 1 hour to see the ancient Giant Cacti and a panoramic view around the Salar you can also see the Coral Window. (The visit to this place is dependent on the rainy season) After we return to the edge of the Salar we look for a place with water to enjoy the sunset.

An experience that will remain forever in your memory - We start in the morning hours with a visit to the train cemetery by the best guide of Uyuni: Alexander, then we went to the craft fair, where everything is built in salt (throbbing what we were going to find). And the next stop, the vastness, the largest salt flat in the world. Being part of this incredible experience, makes life feel, how natural, how magical our planet earth can be. Alex was detailing each stop, and answered all our concerns, as well as waiting for us with a delicious lunch. Something super recommended that you can not miss is Incahuasi Island, only at that point you will have a 360 view of the Salar. It is worth every second of this excursion, with the golden clasp "An incredibly magical sunset". If you plan to visit Bolivia, let Uyuni be first on the list of places.

Incredible day on the salt flat with Nelson - We did the day tour of the salt flats with Nelson. We had an incredible day, the salt flat is incredible. Nelson took care of us and had incredible energy. He was very happy to show us the salt flat and his love of the salt flat was evident. He took amazing photos of us during the day and some epic shots at night too. It made the whole experience ten times better for us. I can't recommend this tour enough, especially with Nelson. Thanks very much buddy!

An incredible and unforgettable tour! - Everything was incredible, but I would highlight crossing the salt flat, the good group lunch (there was a special dish for this vegan!), the fun photos and videos in perspective, and the incredible sunset with wine at the end! Everything was so cool, certainly, not only because of the great group we had, but because of the attention, information, care and sense of humor of our guide Ronal. Gracias, Ronal! A memorable tour!!

The set is exceptional - We arrived at Uyuni Airport in the morning and decided to take a taxi to the city to book a tour. For some reason, the taxi driver was wearing a Hodakadake hat, so when we arrived at Hodakadake Travel Agency, we had no choice. We were wondering whether to rent a six-seater vehicle, but since there were four of us, we decided to rent it out and took a one-day tour to the Uyuni Salt Flats sunset, including Inkawasi and the train graveyard. Although my Japanese was broken, the driver's guidance and photography instructions were good, so it was a very memorable tour. During the day, just sitting in the passenger seat can cause sunburn from the glare and damage your eyes, so sunglasses and sunscreen are essential. The Uyuni Salt Flats during the day were nice, but the sunset was exceptional.
