Great Castle Tour - It was on our European bucket list to visit a castle so we booked this tour to Peniscola. Our guide, Marcela, picked us and one other family up in a van for the hour-long drive. She was friendly, chatty, and knowledgeable (she speaks four languages!). She had us head down to the beach to pose with the Peniscola sign for a photo and to share about the Games of Thrones filming before we walked up to the castle. Be aware that getting to the castle is quite the trek as it is all uphill! We briefly stopped at The Museum of the Sea before Marcela walked with us through the various rooms in the castle and narrated via the headsets she had given all of us to wear. After the castle tour, she gave us free time to walk through Casco Antiguo (also known as Little Mykonos) within the fortress walls (again -- all uphill!) to shop and eat. We had a great time!

Great small group tour of Peniscola Castle & Town - From booking here to the great communication from Marcela the tour was a great experience round the town and castle areas. Marcela provided information during the drive there about the area we drove through plus during the tour round Peniscola. A big plus was that the tour was in a van so only 6 people so very personal which was a big plus. Thank you.

A must visit beautiful place. - I traveled to Valencia with my daughter and we scheduled the day trip to Peñíscola with Valencia Forever. Our tour operator was Marcela, and we couldn’t have gotten a more knowledgeable, friendly and wonderful person to take us to this breathtaking place. Marcela picked us up at our Airbnb directly as planned. She went far and beyond on explaining us about some areas we were driving through. When we got to Peñíscola, we had some free time to have breakfast. Then, we started the tour going around some areas in town, the main area in front of the beach, then headed up to the castle. We got so much information about the town, the castle, the Knights Templar, Pope Benedict the XIII and his library. We also had the option to visit the garden area. After this, we had free time to visit some areas of our own interest, having enough time to enjoy a good meal. The free time given to us was more than enough. After our meal, we still had some time to sit at a bar to have some refreshing drinks before heading back to the van to get back to Valencia. Thank you Marcela for such a wonderful tour and driving us safely!

Beautiful city that is Peñiscola, great outing to do! - A personalized visit is always more interesting. There were six of us plus the guide/driver. The guide was very interesting, knew his subject and very attentive to each person. The city was really pretty and interesting. I don't speak much English and a little Spanish. Too bad there is no visit in French. But Miguel still managed to interest me in the castle and the whole visit. I recommend this visit.

Fun Day Trip - Marcela was a great tour guide and we really enjoyed the balance of a guided tour and free time. Peniscola was a very cute beach town - and it was the perfect time of year to visit before it was overrun with tourists. It has a ton of restaurants and small shops. It was quite hilly but it was beautiful. While the castle was closed, we took a short boat ride and saw the castle and coast from the water.

Nice day visiting seafront castle and learning about the history of the area - Nice day visiting seafront castle and learning about the history of the area. Our guide Marcela was very knowledgeable around the region and the history of the castle. The day was very nice. I wished we could stay longer walking around the castle and enjoy the beach. We had to head back to the car at 3pm.

Cancelled the day before - Organiser cancelled the day before due to transport issues. Full refund received however it was too late for us to arrange alternative and therefore couldn't do a peniscola tour during our trip. These things can happen so ensure you have back up plans for alternative activities in case of cancellation.
