Highlights
  • Estacio del Nord - This is our meeting point and first landmark we will visit. It´s one of the most beautiful train stations in Spain built in modernist architecture.
  • Iglesia de San Agustin - We´ll head to the first restaurant (close by the station) where I´ll tell you about the origin and meaning of tapas. I´ll share recipes and cooking tips. There´s a big surprise awaiting you regarding a rooted local sport.
We´ll taste 2 “tapas” (snacks) and a local drink, that can be a soft drink, beer or glass of wine
  • Plaza del Ayuntamiento - On our way to the second restaurant, we´ll stop at the spectacular Town Hall Square, where I´ll talk about some aspects of the rich history of Valencia (19th-20th century period).
  • La Lonja de la Seda - Our next stop will be at the iconic Silk Exchange Market, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. I´ll talk about the splendour of the city during the 14th-17th centuries and its importance in Europe.
  • Central Market of Valencia - The Central Market is a gem, one of the best examples of Modernism in Valencia, and a wonder for the senses. I´ll share some recommendations for tasting “paella valenciana” and other local delicacies.
  • Iglesia de los Santos Juanes - Santos Juanes Church is the second most important Baroque church after Saint Nicholas Church, known as the Valencian Sixtine Chapel. Both are linked and I will tell visitors about it
  • Torres de Quart - We´ll taste 1 or 2 more tapas (depending on the number of participants) and one drink (soft drink, beer or wine) in one of the most legendary bars located in the heart of the Arab quarter, Barrio del Carmen.
What's Included
  • Carbonated beverages
  • Beer or wine

Additional Information

Mediterranean culinary delights abound, with rice and our globally recognized meal, paella, standing as the pinnacle of this tradition. But there’s more, such as desserts, fish soups, and quintessential Valencian tapas (patatas bravas, titaina, clotxines, cocas, esgarraets, aspencat,…). These simpler, indigenous delicacies may not be well-known outside the region, yet they’re integral to Valencians’ social custom: the aperitif (drink)/appetizer (food).

This journey offers a distinct experience for a few reasons: the exquisite tapas plates you’ll savor, the mythic eateries you’ll explore, the culinary advice I’ll offer, and the city’s rich history I’ll interweave with tales of its cuisine.

  • No es recomendable para personas vegetarianas, veganas y con alergias alimentarias.

An incredible time in an amazing city - Lucía was a really engaging guide who took us to really off the beaten path places, especially Trinquet Pelayo. We tasted delicious Valencian tapas I´ve never heard of like "titaina", drank local wine and learnt some of the history. The perfect combination!!! I truly recommend this tour

A great evening in lovely company - I highly recommend Lucia´s tapas tour because it´s the perfect mix of a bit of history and architecture and some delicious food. Lucia took me to two restaurants, the first one had a traditional ball game court and the "titaina" we tried was awesome. The second one had some live flamenco music and I loved the "aubergines with honey". Lucia has a very charming character and amazing life stories. A fantastic evening.

An amazing tapas tour - We loved this tour with Lucia because it combines a bit of the extraordinary history of this beautiful city with some local food and drink. At the lovely restaurant we went to, we tasted "ensaladilla rusa" and "tabla de embutidos" that were delicious. I surely recommend this tour.

Wonderful evening in Valencia - I really enjoyed the tapas tour with Lucia. She showed me some places in Valencia which I would never have seen if it weren't for her. The tapas were excellent. The "Titaina" and the "smoked sardine" were my favourite and I would not have tried them if it were not for her because I did not know that they even existed. I had a really good time so I recommed it and will do this tour again when I come back to Valencia
