Additional Information

The emblem of contemporary Valencia in the 21st century is embodied in The City of Arts and Sciences. The distinctive architecture, created by Santiago Calatrava, captures elements of science, art, humanity, nature, motion, and the Mediterranean light, all in a 2km complex. After a leisurely 20-minute stroll, one can connect with the Mediterranean Sea as it looked in 2007 during the America’s Cup sailing competition. The ‘Veles e Vents’ building, designed by British architect David Chipperfield, served as the official hub for elite guests and sightseers. Today, it’s the ideal gathering spot due to its array of bars and restaurants and is accessible from spring through fall.

Stunning futuristic buildings - Our guide was very passionate about the arts and sciences buildings we visited. With good knowledge of the architect and the building techniques. We are so pleased we had the guided tour as we learnt so much

The future - I love this place...I fell in love with it 15 years ago on my first visit and to date nothing has changed...the particular architecture, the brightness, it's like living another reality...then the museums with their installations, the ocean, thank you with all the biodiversity and augmented reality of the hemispheric... and finally the theater that dominates them all with its so imposing and particular structure. Absolutely worth seeing.

We should learn! - Already seen a few years ago in December, we decided to return in spring, the result was surprising, always very pleasant, the city there can be explored entirely by bicycle and in complete tranquility, unlike our cities (where it is always worse) and It is very safe, clean and family-friendly, the cycle paths are very well made, the Turia park allows you to travel throughout the city while remaining immersed in the greenery. Really nice!!

🫶 - Hostel Habitacion89 in the working-class district was fine. City walk Food Lover Tour with guide Jack was very good. The change between the historic center and Hemisfèric - LA CIUTAT by bike was fun. The Valencians are very nice and especially helpful (shops, taxis, restaurants, hairdressers,...)

Great place to see - After the oceanography we walked in the city of arts The place is really beautiful and pleasant A certain serenity reigns in the place and even if a lot of people are there, at no time do we have the impression of being oppressed The metro line 10 will take you to the foot of the place

To review and fix installations - The building is wonderful and worth going. Inside what to say.... certainly not better tracks. Very old and with installations not all working. It was so hot, pressure underfoot. We expected the wonder and instead it was boring my children, compared to other science museum they could interact very little.... but because there was nothing

Nice area to walk around. Great architecture! - A must see for visiting Valencia. We biked through this area although it was crowded. We go some great photos. You can visit one of the buildings for free. The others must be paid for. We thought the Science Centre was overpriced and the Oceanographic uses sea animals for entertainment. On that note, I was shocked to see bullfighting being allowed in this city. Torturing animals for entertainment is not something to be proud of. Stick with this lovely area of Valencia. There are nice restaurants around and plenty of city bikes. And PLEASE skip the bullring.

so-so - After visiting the oceanographic center which was a very good experience, we went to the city of sciences. Sorry, but we didn't like it. Very poorly indicated, not at all attached to the different themes. We were advised not to take the audio guide except that nothing is in French. We left very quickly

Really disappointed - Really disappointed. The science museum was very dull, several areas closed and lots of the interactive exhibits not working. Building beautiful but should have just admired it from the outside and headed back to Valencia old town which is stunning
