10 day run from Vancouver to Golden - Booked a car through Turo 10 days approximately $500 Lucky we had a AWD with winter tyres Got stuck in Rogers pass ( winter storm) on the way to Golden The ponderosa hotel in golden is cheap but horrible breakfast. Sun peaks is still stunning in winter and summer for biking So 1500km in 10 days Hotel $100 a night Petrol $ 20 a day Food? We stocked up at breakfast and took takeout Worst area was Richmond. It’s unkept and dirty, due to ? Maybe the cultural aspects or lack of concern or courtesy for Canada 🍁? If you land in Vancouver, get the free shuttle to Days inn Walk to the thrift shop and pick up some cheap ski gear Don’t eat in this area, walk or hire a scooter to the Real Canadian Store for most of your meals

Must do! - A must do if you go to Whistler. The cost is $55 in U.S. dollars. It took us about 2 hours to do the roundtrip and spend time at the two peaks. The ski lift up Whistler takes about 20 minutes. The Gongola from Whistler to Blackcomb is 2.7 miles over the valley. Great views and you go through the mist and clouds. There are good stands at both peaks as well as bathrooms. You can also take pictures at the Olympic Symbol stand. The lines to get on the lift and gondola move very fast. Mountain Bikers have designated lifts for their use. They go down the mountain from 6000 feet. Have lunch at one of the restaurants at the base of the mountain and watch the mountain bikers finish their run
