Additional Information

Coming into being and ceasing to exist are simply terms we use to denote the entrances and exits of a cyclical process. This process is linked to a vaster cycle that anticipates our reunion. The concept is akin to the act of respiration. By eliminating anxiety and prejudice, one can see this recurring pattern as a fundamental law everywhere.

Join us as we explore the city of enlightenment & transformation and encounter Varanasi, the embodiment of life, death, and reincarnation: referred to as ‘Mahashamstana’, Shiva’s ‘grand funeral pyre’.

Incredible - Indrajeet was a wonderful guide and the private tour was authentic, real and intimate. I had many questions and he responded wonderfully to all and I came back with many insights and a taste for more exploration. I highly recommend this tour if you visit Varanasi.

A definitive must if in Varanasi - We booked the Varanasi Life, Death and Re-birth walk with Indrajeet, who kept us informed re time of pickup etc., and gave us the option of changing the time as we were the only 2 booked on it. Indrajeet arrived very promptly and we set off on our tour, but because it rained so hard we had to unfortunately cut the tour short by 2 hours. We were given the option of continuing the next night or would be given a full refund - we decided to continue the next night, and we are so glad we did. Indrajeet was very informative, took us round the small narrow lanes of Varanasi, past little shops in the old market selling all the offerings for the cremations, the flower market, and of course the main cremation site, followed by a walk along the river back to our hotel. Indrajeet answered all our questions, and we had loads, we didn’t feel rushed at all - the walk was at a very steady pace. Indrajeet is a charming and a very knowledgeable guide, and you will not be disappointed in this tour - a definite must. Thank you again Indrajeet.

The best company in the City - i have taken their tours twice now, and they provide one of the best services. The guide was very professional and Indian Government approved with 9years of experience. No doubt he was open to every questions i had and also was very knowledgeable on off topic discussions.

Not to Be Missed Walking Tour - Indrajeet Kumar took us on the walking through the narrow alleyways and byways near the Ganges. He was insightful, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. He patiently answered all of our questions and adjusted the route and length of our tour to match our interests. One could not ask for a better guide to the area. I highly recommend this gentleman. You will not be disappointed.

Cool experience! - My guide for this tour was Mr. Vinod. I found the tour very interesting, and I learnt a lot. I felt the guide was good at explaining and did not rush or talk as if from I script. He knew a lot and answered all my questions. I saw the sundown ritual and he arranged for me to get a seat with a good view, which made a big difference! Would not have been the same experience if I had been down in the huge crowd. Would recommend!:) He also helped me get back to the hotel and was very helpful.
